Does this retention plan comes with contract or not?

My 3-year contract will be ended next month.

Do I have to extend my contract to get this retention plan ?

Just called, they said 17$ plan is done, but she gave me supertalk 15 which is 200 or 250 anytime, forget which, and caller ID, voicemail etc.

She said no additional discounts on phone. I've been customer for 5 years, anyway I can bargain them for a discount on a phone, namely LG shine? I'll be signing up 3 years.

That doesnt seem like a bad deal. Too bad they couldnt throw in a hundred more bonus minutes. All in all, with the unlimited web browsing, I think you did pretty good.

My wife & I had a shared plan with 9 months left on the contract. My phone didnt work anymore & hers was on the way out. We were paying minimum of $107/month up to $150.
I called today to buy out the contract & change providers, but they made me a pretty good deal. We extended for 2yrs (from today, so with 9 months left on the contract it was really a 15 month extension.) We now have:
$56/month for the 2 phones
Caller ID & Voice mail
Telus to telus
Unlimited incoming text
250 outgoing per phone.
200 daytime minutes
5pm evenings & weekends
Plus 2 months unlimited text & calling.
New Keybo for her & a w385 for me.
Pretty happy with the deal!

this isn't bad.
but if you were a rogers customer. you could get just as good deal probably better.

with my rogers retentions i get.

$25 a month

250mins
free incoming calls
free rogers to rogers calls
500 text messages
free incoming texts (obvs.)
caller id + voice mail
free evenings and weekends starts at 6pm though.

you should have looked at the rogers retention deal thread to see what people were getting before you signed your new 2year deal. then you could have negotiated.

Especially with the minutes. i'm sure 200minutes shared isn't enuf? but who know's they could be? (unless it was 200minutes each phone?)
