just a heads-up to those that do not have Caller ID included in your SK55 plan and you are paying per month for it...
I called in today and inquired about getting Caller ID for free given that the new plans have Caller ID/VM included...
The rep was nice enough to provide to me Caller ID free for 1yr....
He made the exception given that I currently have the SK Student Plan (similar to SK55 plan) and was paying $8/mo for Caller ID...
Good for 1yr, was able to get it for my gf as well...
How do people who keep mentioning these port in credits get them? I tried every provider without success....
I work for a company that has been a telus mobility client for 21 years. We have never had a contract but recently decided to finally upgrade to smartphones (instead of the last remaining palm treos on earth).
Talked to Rogers and they offered us a decent deal with transfer credits, talked to Telus they said they don't give out renewal credits, checked with Bell and they initially offered higher price and less credits.
In the end told Telus we were serious about leaving and talked to someone off the front line of the business team, they gave us the following deal which made us sign up for our first 3 year contract:
Free 8 x Iphone 4 16gig (apparently none left and may be getting 8 gigs)
8 x $300 renewal credit
8 x 550 minutes (250 individual + 300 shared per line (total of 2400 shared))
250 Cdn LD each (not shared)
Unl Inc (canada) and between employees (local)
6 gigs data/phone
8 x 60.13/month = $481/month + tax
8 x $10 discount on activation in store
Rogers couldn't compete, bell was close except for only 100 Cdn LD and +$5/phone but they offered 550 shared minutes/phone (actually Bell was the one to introduce the .
Telus seemed to hit a price no one else wanted to match so we are staying with the devil we know.
I have been a Telus customer for a long time (Clearnet Days). I called to make some changes to reduce my bill (still have just under a year on the contract). CSR told me I have to go on a new plan and will lose all the stuff retention gave me. "Ok please transfer me to retention" 20 min later this is what they gave me.
Unlimited Nationwide calling – 24 hr
Unlimited incoming, text, picture, and video messages
6GB of monthly data usage
I use a lot of minutes and LD a month and coverage is key.
And I still have just under a year on the contract.
I am pretty happy with Telus, they have always been good to me and never really had to look anywhere else.
can someone please tell me how much is the 6gb data plan for telus to be added?
6gb is 30$ in fido, is it 35$ for telus?
Hey guys, I have been searching these forums for awhile and am wondering if you guys could help or lend some info. Am looking to port over to Telus from Rogers and get a Galaxy Note in the process, however I do not want to start off on one of their cookie cutter plans that they have atm. A dealer from these forums has been trying to set up a deal for me unfortunately he has run into a brick wall as they are not offering anything atm. Are we missing something? As far as plans go I would be perfectly happy with a Sask 55 plan (I live in Ontario). Maybe you guys could set me on the correct path. Thx
Heads up to everyone,
Telus is offering Saskatchewan another province-specific promo.
Promo Voice + Data 55+
Up to 500 minutes local
5gb of data
Unlimited Family Calling, (Nationwide)
Unlimited Text, Pic, Video messaging
Unlimited local on early nights (5 pm) and weekends

Voicemail, Call Waiting, Call Conference
And unlimited local calling for a month.
Not as good as the student saskatchewan plan, but it's alright...
Wondering if i should switch my student 55+ in ontario to this voice/promo data flex...
Is it too late to switch if I re-signed in October? (This year)
I have signed a 1-year contract and now has two months to go. Is it a bit too early to call for retention?
and what does a good $20 plan usually include? (i don't really need data...)
Hi Guys.... Does Telus still offer credits when you port your number from other carrier?
How could you get a SAS55 plan? Do you just simply call them and ask for it?
Hows coverage compare to Rogers? I'm thinking to switch to Telus.
