I swear it's more about getting a rep in a good mood than anything else.
I called in last week for the third and final time to let them know I'll just take their crappy Voice + Data Promo $65 and renew on a 3 year contract with a Samsung Galaxy Note. The rep told me to hold on and just came back and offered me the Sask 50 plan wtf. So now I'm paying $50 and I have this.
Sask 50
200 + 200 minutes
E/W 6 pm
CID/VM3/CC
Fave5
Unlmtd text
30 LD
1 GB data
Can't really complain, I'm happy with this and now I have a new phone

With telus on a 3 year Contract - 13 months left (expires May 2013) because I left Bell and their monopoly after being with them for 6years.
When I first started out in may 2010 I had this - 65$ tax inc.
Voice and data flex 50$
which included
100 min bonus
6PM nights and weekends
500 MB
CALLER ID/ VM3
unlimited texts
I was starting to pay for data overusage so I asked to switch plans they switched me to the voice and data plan for 65$ - the total comes up to 83$ tax inc.
Which included everything I had but instead of 500Mb I got 1GB...
and MOTHER EFFER I just noticed that when she switched my contract in FEB THEY TOOK OFF MY 100 MINS BONUS! I didnt notice until I wrote on this forum and checked out my plan which is BEFORE I spoke with retention. they NEVER told me my plan would take out my 100mins - she just mentioned I would pay more but increase my plan to 1GB data but everything else would stay the same.
Spoke with Retention
At first she offered me to credit the Caller IP (7$ less a month for the remainder of my 13 months)
After tellling her I had a 45$ deal with Bell (which is bogus) which includes 300 mins, 5PM evenings and weekends, VM, CID, unlimited TEXT, 5GB, incoming calls.... I told her I wasnt afraid to leave despite the cancellation fee because I would be saving money regardless with this other Bell deal.
She offered me for 58$
200 mins
5PM nights and weekends unlimited
1 GB of Data
Unlimited Texts
VM3/ CID
10 favs
call lasted 13mins, but I asked if there was anything more she could do and she said no - trying to push to make the changes effective on my account... HELP?!
And Is there anything I can do with the fact that they took away my 100mins bonus that I had until I changed my plan?! I know I've never gone over in daytime minutes but thats because I refuse to answer to anyone before 6PM in order to avoid this and when I do I check my times... Although I'm starting a 2nd job which will probably have my cell phone as a way to contact me and I find it rather sad that they screwed me over like this without me noticing - I never check my phone bills usually unless its higher than usual.

trying to get the Promotional Plan (expires Apr 30) with more then 100MB data for being a 10year client however being told not possible as the Talk and Text for 10 favoritites is part of the bonus.

the unlimited local calling for a month is useless to me..i'd rather they let me pick the month i'd like to use it or give me credit back$.

This is the plan I've had for the past 2+ years with Telus...
I'm wanting to upgrade to the Galaxy Note, but do you think this plan is worth keeping?
I don't have a landline so unlimited incoming is a must... But Bell is offering the phone for $150 with pretty much the same plan minus caller ID, when Telus is trying to charge me $320 for it as I have several months left in my contract...
What I have for $50/month:
200DT min
Evenings & weekends at 6pm
Unlimited incoming
Unlimited text messaging
500mb data
Caller ID, voicemail and those things
What do you think?

as someone who's been with telus and still has 15 months left on their contract, do i have any chance at renegotiating a better contract while paying for a phone upgrade?

I'm going to be leaving rogers and signing with telus. Any pointers on trying to get a good deal? 2 people at work just got the Sask plan, but they pay $50/mnth and get 5gbs of data along with all the other stuff in the plan.
Thanks.

Would appreciate some advice.
First, my circumstances: Currently paying 57/month for 250 minutes, 500mb data, 6:00pm evenings, favourite 5 nationwide, caller id, and voicemail.
I renewed my contract in October with an iPhone 4S and kept my current plan, assuming it was still decent (clearly a mistake on my part). I've been finding the 500mb data limit a bit, well... limiting lately.
So, I'm basically wondering what, if any leverage I have, and if I can expect to get my data cap upgraded to 1gb (or more) without paying way more. I've been with Telus for about 9 years (most of which have been attached to my parents plan, but I took control of it myself last October), so I'd LIKE to think that means something.
Do these sorts of inquiries to retention only really work if you're looking to switch to Telus or are coming up on the end of your contract, or is there actually a chance I can make something work?
Thanks in advance!
