this is what I was shooting for but only managed to get 30 ld min added and was happy to get that. He was pretty firm that the base plan was already super rich. On a positive note he let me go month to month until my account is ready for a full subsidy hardware discount. Hopefully the price of th s3 and htc 1x come down in the next 4 months.

Thinking about leaving Rogers (2 lines) and called Telus to see what they could offer:

I think it's a great plan but I pay about $50-$60 tax in on a Rogers retention plan. Reason I'm thinking of leaving Rogers is we want to hup but we have to pay an early hup fee(which I think is BS). Now say after a year is it possible to get say another $10 in discounts? Which would make this plan worthwhile to me.

Is this for a business account? And do you still get 3 year pricing? Called to ask about porting another # from Bell onto existing telus acct and was told they do not offer any incentives.

You can negotiate and switch to the new plan without having to tell them about buying the S3 from their teamwebstore.

There is nothing wrong with doing that. I just did it for my sons phone and told retentions I wanted to renew the contract and freebies prior to ordering through the Teamwebstore. No problems at all.

When they launched the S3, retentions told me to pre-order the phone first, select the default plan (Promo 65) and then call them to activate my negotiated plan once I received the phone.

With FAV10, all calls (incoming AND outgoing) are free with those 10 numbers?
How often can they be changed?

^^^ If you keep abusing this, they track it and they will put an end to it. Again, I will not encourage it. The Team store has specific criteria and you may end up getting that employee in trouble just for saving yourself a couple of bucks for a phone. I never encourage being selfish.

If you have a family member or a friend who works for Telus I don't understand why you would think this is abuse. The Team Webstore states you can keep your plan as long as it meets the requirements (data or $). If anything it creates business versus going to a Competitor. Some retailers offer gift cards - would that also be considered abuse if you accept a gift card?

Going to a competitor for what? They just gave you a sweet deal on the plan, why would you leave? The fact in some cases that you have to lie to the rep and not tell them you're going through the Webstore is already shady - why not be upfront then?

Btw, you won't get a gift card because that is only for new activations don't try to twist it around - & gift cards is to attract consumers to activate through a particular location. Again, I would not recommend this, maybe ask the rep if they can give you a handset discount, but going behind the agent's back and using a friend's code will eventually lead to disciplinary action against that rep for abusing webstore codes through L&R. You cannot negotiate with retentions and then get a web store exclusive which specifically lists the plan you are eligible to get through webstore - you might not get care about the rep code, but I can assure you that rep will eventually be written up and if not fired.
