I currently have the following corporate plan for $50/month and am no longer on a contract with Telus:

6GB Data
250 Local Daytime Minutes
Unlimited Local Incoming
Unlimited Evenings & Weekends 6pm - 7am
Advanced Voicemail (25 Messages)
Text Messaging Unlimited Canada Wide

My phone just broke so I need to get a new one. I'm wondering if I should call Telus to see what my options are. Do you guys think they'll offer me anything? Should I even call and risk them changing my plan since it's so cheap?
they would need to pay me and beat me to let go of a plan like that
just go buy a oneplus 3 for $588 shipped to your door and keep your plan

Currently on a $44 corporate plan (just under $50 after HST) for 3GB, unlimited minutes, etc. Thinking of getting either the Pixel or Pixel XL 128GB for $130/$280 but will need to switch to a $65 plan after. Over 2 years it's worth it, just uncertain what plans are around by then...

Also that offer is only for new activation - is it likely that retention would just give it? I'm not under contract.

Called Telus to tell them I was thinking of switching to Shaw Internet 150 (currently offered at $50/month for the first year, $80 for second year). I'm currently paying $80 for Telus 50.

Telus 150 is not available in my area, so loyalty rep offered me Telus 50 for $40 + unlimited data and a booster for my wifi. I'm happy with that so staying with Telus for now.

Is this a cell phone plan or an internet plan?

So, after coming back from Telus a few days ago this is what I was offered.

Upgraded Line[/b]
Unlimited Canada Wide Mins
350 North American Mins
Caller ID, Voicemail, Etc.
6GB of Data
iPhone 7 32GB for $400 on 2 Year Agreement
$67/month cost

New Line
1000 Canada Wide Mins
2GB of Data
Caller ID, Voicemail, etc
iPhone 7 32GB for $0 on 2 year agreement
$300 Port-in-credit
$75/month
Little more for this line, but the free iPhone 7 and $300 port-in credit makes it worth it.

BTW, both these lines are Small Business

Could you tell me what the name of the plan is? Thanks

I have decided to abandon the ship. I called Telus loyalty team today. I mentioned that Virgin Mobile in Alberta is offering 4GB, unlimited province call, unlimited messages, etc. for $40 CAD and asked them what they could do for me.

The best offer was $75 CAD.

35 x12 = 420 yearly savings... :( Sad to leave them after 6 years but, I like my money better.

My 2 year contract will be over in mid-Dec. Before it was unlimited voice and text +2 Gb of data.Phone iPhone 6. All for 70$.
After long negotiation I will get the same plan for 61$. Not so great like my other deal with Fido 40$/4Gb, but better than nothing.

So I called Telus asking if there was anything they could do to compete with Fido/Virgin/Public Mobile's $40 BYOD 4GB Plan and the agent basically said nothing she could do could come close.

When I asked about the cancellation/porting process she mentioned that you do no get a pro-rated credit if you cancel/port out before the end of your billing date. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I was under the impression that cellular providers would credit back as of the cancellation day if you paid for services beyond that date.

Just wanted to bump this to say that I had a pretty good experience with the loyalty team today for my dad's account. Didn't get 4GB/$40 plan obviously, but he was able to get an extra 1GB added to the account for free. No contract, no shifting around various plans like before, just a little something to keep us happy and to retain our really old grandfathered plan.

So I had a call with fido and got offered:

6GB
Unlimited calling / texting
Caller ID
Voicemail
Spotify for 6 months
LG G5
2 year contract
$60.08 (tax in)

I decided to pull the trigger.
Is there a specific plan I can mention to Fido in order to get this exact same plan? My 2-year contract with Telus expires on Thursday and this plan is pretty much exactly what I need in order to jump ship (after 19 years with Telus!). Thanks!

What are the details of your current/grandfathered plan before the call? Price per month?

I'm in the same situation and was wondering if there was anything they could do for a longtime customer.
I've been back and forth with them all weekend and they said someone from the "Migration Team" would contact me back.
