Was checking my account and noticed my 10% off BYOD m2m discount was no longer applied, apparently the BYOD offer is canceled, so check your bill.

Anyway, did the online chat and the agent gave me caller ID for free for 2 years, no strings attached.

Current plan is now $55 for 6gb, unlimited text, evenings weekends, voicemail 3.

Pretty much ready to switch over to Fido as I was disappointed with what Telus offered me.

Current Plan - $75/month
1GB North American Data
Unlimited nationwide calling
Unlimited Canada, US & International text, picture & video messaging
250 Roaming minutes while in the US
VM 10
Caller ID

What I wanted was something similar to the $65 Fido Pulse Plan as I use spotify and am more than happy to let go of North American roaming in exchange for more data. By switching, I would be saving $20/month

What I was offered:

Offer #1 - $75/month
3GB data (not NA)
Unlimited nationwide calling
Unlimited text, picture & video messaging within Canada only

Offer #2 - $50/month
2GB of data (not NA)
300 daytime minutes
Unlimited text, picture & video messaging within Canada only

I've called Telus many times since these PM, Koodo and Virgin deals came out and have talked to the loyalty department many, many, many times. I have 3 lines on my acct. They are the old BYOD deals for $40 mth. I get a 10% business discount on all lines making them $36.44 each with unlimited everything. No usa calling though. Yesterday I was able to get the 7gb data plan for $60 plus they were able to add an extra 2gb data to the acct. They said it may not work as my plan is old but it seemed to have gone ahead without a hitch. My Bill is $169 plus tax for unlimited Canada calling text/pic messaging with call id, mess etc. with 9gb of shareable data for 3 lines. Plus because the old BYOD $10 discount is now gone I complained enough I got $100 credit on my acct. Keep calling guys. If plans finally start getting cheaper i'll keep calling. Persistence pays off sometimes IMO.

To this advice and was offered this:

Offer #3 - $80/month
6GB of data (not NA)
150 daytime minutes
Free calls after 6pm on weeknights
Free calls during weekends
Free incoming
Unlimited texts (not picture or video messaging) to Canada & the US

[/quote]

Now if you could only combine some from quote 1, 2 and 3 you'd be laughing. But it seems to be getting better in some aspects. Keep calling. Good luck!

hahahaha that's my goal, but I just can't seem to get there!
Next time you call Telus mention the Koodo plan that was being offered today, Nov. 23. Make sure you are talking to the loyalty department. Even though it's for existing customers it may give you a bit of headway with them.

No contract with telus. Do you think telus will match the new koodo plan. They refused the fido deal when that was going on

If it was me I would keep calling until I got something I liked. Make sure you talk to the loyalty department.

I'd like to get some thoughts on what I was offered today. I'm a 20 yr long client of Telus, which doesn't seem like much.

Bell (walking off the street) $90
4 Gig
unlimited calling/texting Canada
Iphone 7plus 126 gig for $580

Telus Loyalty option 1 $114
4 Gig
unlimited calling/texting Canada
visual voicemail
long distance saver
Iphone 7plus 126 gig for $380

Telus Loyalty option 2 $104
2.5 Gig
unlimited calling/texting Canada
visual voicemail
long distance saver
Iphone 7plus 126 gig for $380

Would like to stay with Telus but can't see the reason I would with what Bell has offered. Thoughts?

Unfortunately you are signing a 2 year contract. At least thats what i'm assuming. If you can, buy the iPhone out right. Or first, forget about the new iPhone and just negotiate a deal with your current phone just to see what the difference will be. You'll get a hell of a better deal without a contract, 20 years or not. What you are being offered is garbage IMO.

I just transferred from Rogers to Telus and got this
6GB shared between 2 lines
Unlimited local calling
all the voice features
$150+ tax
iPhone 7 Plus 128GB $89
iPhone 7 128GB $30

I cant complain one bit about this offer as Rogers couldn't even come close to this.
