Final Offer - Accepted $65/month
3gb data
Unlimited nationwide calling
Unlimited international texts

Beggars can't be choosers, so I'll just suck it up whenever I go to the states & just rely on WiFi or use Roam Ready (still don't understand why Easy Roam isn't available to Small Business accounts, but whatever).

I just transferred from Rogers to Telus and got this
6GB shared between 2 lines
Unlimited local calling
all the voice features
$150+ tax
iPhone 7 Plus 128GB $89
iPhone 7 128GB $30

I cant complain one bit about this offer as Rogers couldn't even come close to this.
Very similar to what Telus offered me when I got my two 6s'. Personal plan, and long time customer.

Is this the best retention plan currently being offered? Do you need to have 2 lines to get it?

yup, as i really can't find a phone that's comparable to the note 7. they did offer a $300 credit towards a new phone that i can use towards the S8.

I know. I was planning on upgrading to the note 7 this past black friday if they did not get recalled. It's cheaper to buy unlocked phones from the US on black friday. At least $200 cheaper. There's no sense upgrading to a plan with a subsidized phone if I'm paying at least $25 more monthly.

After having terrible offers on renewal from Telus for 2gb for $70 ; wanted to bump me to at least $80 gb with a free new iPhone 6s with less data (1gb) . Ridiculous trying to push these premium plus plans.

I was finally able to retain on this $75 a month for:
3 gbs data
Unlimited local calling
Caller Id
Unlimited mms/SMS
Call waiting
Voicemail 10
Free iPhone 6s
$150 gift card

Yay or jipped ?

I think it's a decent offer. You pay $5 more but you get a new phone and an extra GB of data.

I have a small business account as well and with my unlimited texting they added unlimited texting while travelling to the states. So unlimited texting while located in the US to the US/Canada. Maybe look into that, it was a free add on for me.

Been with Telus for 10 years, new phone needed a nano SIM, called the CSR, put me on hold for 2 minutes, came back and he gave me a $15 credit. Then went to the mall to pick it up. Very nice of them, didn't hurt to ask. If you are a long time customer, be amicable to the csr when calling and sometimes they will show you some loyalty. Don't think I will ever part with my $30 plan.

I've been with telus for 15+ years.... I need a new phone. I currently have 6GB data, 200 minutes, unlimited texting, unlimited evening/weekend and 10 favorite numbers for unlimited calling for $65 a month.

I'm interested in getting a Pixel but they tell me I need to pay $200 and get a new $90 plan which is 300 minutes and 2gb of data. They wouldn't budge.

Is there a way to keep my $65 plan AND get the Pixel for $200 on a new 2 year contract?

Any advice is appreciated.

What they are offering you is not really a retention plan. You can get that plan from their website. I wouldn't consider it.

You already have a good base plan. I'm not sure if they still offer a BYOD discount so check with them. If it's 10% off the plan, then that's another $6.50 saved. If it's up to me, I would look at buying the phone outright. I would even consider buying it from the US if the price is right. If the price is still too steep, I would just wait a couple of months but I would never give up the $65 plan just to get a subsidized phone.
