I saw couple sellers offer free UPS/Fedex/EMS worldwide shipping. Which one is the best to go and has the lowest brokerage fees?
I assume there will be custom tax + hst(or provincial taxes) since they ship from Korea, right?

I ordered from dream seller, and the package was marked as having a value of $100. It shipped EMS, which meant that Canada Post delivered it, and I didn't pay a cent in any duty, tax, or EHF.

I would be wary of UPS or fedex for something like this, they are far more likely to ding you with fees, and the packaging these monitors ship in make it very obvious what's inside.

Their was a post about this last week, which was moved from hot deals to the computers forum.

I purchased the tempered glass ipsb achieva (along with two friends) from dream-seller, and I love it. Beautiful colours, no warm up time, and no dead pixels either.

Yes, it's a repost. Actually this is a sign that highres big screen monitors will drop in price soon. It always starts in Asia first. And now with The New Ipad we will see more demand for higher resolution.

Group Buy opportunity?

If we have ten buyers, order 11.
Just in case there is a bad display you can swap and then sell the lower quality on to someone else at discounted price

so other than the higher refresh rates and better stand of the catleap vs the achevia, and the potential to have an achevia with tempered glass on the screen (i think), what are the other differences between the two, if any?

Too many unknowns, too high of a risk for me. Plus, for gaming, you're just inviting having to spend a real fortune to run anything at max detail and native resolution. For desktop productivity this resolution is great but for gaming, not so much. Personally I don't see the need for anything above 1080p for desktop gaming on displays in this size range.

Damn this is tempting. I bought 2 gtx580's and a 120Hz 3D panel but im thinking I may enjoy QHD resolution gaming more than 3D...but i just paid of my credit card

I was actually hoping for a good deal on a 30" monitor......but they are listed for 995+. Any idea why it goes up so much for a 30"????

That's normal for top-end anything.

Plus big panels are very expensive to manufacture.

I'm very curious about these monitors as well if those that ordered could keep us updated that'd be great! One 27" would be pretty cool, but I wonder if it'd be insane to go dual 27's! I've got a 24" 1920x1200 and a 23" 1920x1080 right now...
