[Merged] Vegas Deals
Visiting Vegas from Feb.23.2007 - Feb.26.2007 - 3 nights/4 days. I was wondering if anyone knows of any deals on hotels/cars/golf/etc...
I know it's a few months away but maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I'll be heading out there during that time as well and I'd been monitoring these sites for deals.

I started to plan my trip to Las Vegas three months ahead for my honeymoon on December, but I got better deal to Hawaii two months later after my hard work of planning so that I should pass on all I have found to you. I found that www.usairwaysvacations.com has the best deal of all for vacation packages. If you want to save money by looking for places to eat for cheap, you should check www.vegas.com. Also, if you want to try different buffets or gamble for free or playing golf, you should buy the American Casino Guide 2007 ($10-15 Cdn) that gives you whole bunch of 2 for 1 buffet deals and other freebies or deals. If you have a specific hotel that you want to stay, you should sign up for the online promotion for that hotel. www.allegiantair.com has the cheapest airfare to Las Vegas but the nearest airport from Vancouver is on Bellingham, which it is 30mins drive from the US border. If you want to save some money and don't care the hassle to drive down to the States, you might get airfare as low as $21 per person for one way (but you have to keep checking the website for that deal). Other time, their average airfare is approx. $89 per person per one way, and the parking fees is only $30 per week. Sometimes, I found that booking airfare and hotel separately is cheaper than booking a vacation package from online travel websites but of course it has to depend wihich hotel you are staying. Moreover, I have found that Luxor has the best deal than other hotels (check www.luxor.com), and if you want to see shows for half price, you should go to Tix4tonight (I think it is in the Showcase Mall) next to MGM Grand for that same day show tickets for 1/2 price. To save for $2 service charge, go to www.tix4tonight.com to print the coupon.
Hope this will help you to have an enjoyable and affortable trip to Las Vegas.

dealsloverkk had some great points but here's the points I want to share for my upcoming Vegas trip (this weekend!)
1. Try to book separately, you may find it's cheaper sometimes there's deals to be found when you book hotel/flights together but you may end up at some hotel you do not like so explore your options separately if possible
2. Review the prices of your hotels as your trip comes up. We had booked a 1 night stay at a particular hotel and over a period of a month the price dropped $30 (including another $10 a week before we are leaving). If you call in, they will have no problems adjusting the rate for you
3. Try to avoid fri./sat. nights as they are the most expensive and take a look at the convention schedule. Chances are if there's a convention that weekend, rates are going to be higher.
Keep checking the hotel websites themselves for good deals (sometimes they are not even posted on FatWallet).
Enjoy planning for your getaway to sin city

Expedia
Expedia is having a huge sale on Vegas deals...
i've tried half the links/promos through RFD and found expedia the cheapest IF you want to stay at a nice place (ie Mirage/MGM/other strip hotels).

Not sure how good a deal she got but my girlfriend and her girlfriends are going to Vegas at the end of April for 5 nights at the Bellagio. All taxes/fees for flight/hotel in it's just under $1,000 with medical and cancellation insurance for a flight out of Buffalo.

booked a flight from buffalo yesterday - Dec 15 - 19: ( on delta airlines) Total roundtrip to Vegas for 2 people including taxes etc, was $356 cdn.
Booked hotel ( direct) for 4 nights at the Monte Carol -Total for the 4 nights(incld. tax etc.): $315usd
Includes: $25 food and beverage credit
$25 gambling credit
$25 to use at the spa (Spa admission is $20 i think but they wave it if you spend $60 or more)
in other words, about $350 cdn / person, said and done.
Could have done cheaper if we stayed at sahara, or circus circus, or one of the other outlying hotels, but my husband wanted and nicer one. I have never been, just went on the ratings , photos and info. that i read.
I think you can get Imperial palace for about the same price. Any opinions on which is better ( other than the fact that Imperial Palace is smack in the middle for location- how important is this , monte carlo doesn't seem to be that far off to me but as I said, have never gone before).

The MC is a much better hotel with respect to the rooms when compared to the IP. MC is still a very good choice and I would have chosen it over the IP as well. Not counting the Jockey Club, you are acutally next to the Bellagio to the north and neighbours with NYNY to the south. To give you a perspective on distances, it will take you about 10 minutes to walk to the corner of Flamingo and LV Blvd (Bellagio). Distances can be decieving in LV. The hotel just down the block may take 15 to walk to.
I usually park at the MC because their parking garage is usually not very crowded and visit the south Strip hotels. It's not too far a walk to the center Strip either. Across the street at Showcase, there is also a discount ticket booth for shows.
Location is really dependant on where your favorite casino/hotel is located and you don't know which one is your favorite yet. However, most people like to be center Strip.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any other advice for us? I really don't see us going off the Strip, at least this trip. IN terms of gambling - all I really do is slots, Hubby might like to do a bit of black jack, we are definately not "HIGH ROLLERS" at all. Won't be spending thousands on gambling ( HOPEFULLY - LOL!!!). Have looked at all the recommended websites - like www.cheapovegas.com the best,
Just wondering if you recommend buying any coupon books or anything (like ACG), and if you have any favourite, not so expensive shows ( of any kind or content), or attraction that you would recommend? I saw that Bally's has a " PRICE IS RIGHT" show, anyone know if it is worth it? I think they are charging $40 a person, can you get discount tickets, or is it a bit of a rip off. Would like all opinions of any of the above mentioned things.
Thanks Again!

stay far far away from monte carlo for next 3 years..just go read all the horror on TA... you are going at a very cheap time (check out some travelzoo deals for your date) so might as well stay at like mirage for around 80bux, TI for 70ish, BAlly's around same etc...
monte carlo is not worth it with city center project and non stop construction.
