I dont know if anyone has mentioned it on this thread but there is another thread on the myvegas Facebook app. It allows you to earn comps on food/rooms/shows/etc for the MGM properties by playing their slot game. Its free (although they try to get you to buy chips). I've earned enough for a free night at the Excalibur, trying to earn enough for a free night at the Mirage or Luxor.

You should check out Southwest, they don't show up on other travel sites but they have direct flights from buffalo, the only airlibne that does. as for hotels,I prefer flamingo, probably can find a good price on it or harrahs keep checking, the prices change all the time.

The Strat is way up on the end of the strip, its not the nicest hotel and you don't want to be walking around that area alone at night.

If this is your first time, try to stay centre strip (Flamingo/Paris/Harrah's/Bally's etc) None of the hotels I mentioned charge you resort fees either, none of the Caesar's group does.
Check out this page on FB, it will give you cheap hotel deals you can choose from.

Make sure you sign up for players cars while you are there and the next time you go, you may not even have to pay for hotels.
I am going Jan 24-28th, staying at Paris and only have to pay $27 total!! I got my flight on Southwest for $290 taxes in direct as well :)

Also going March 21-25th for March Madness and have Flamingo comped for 4 nights.

get the total rewards card while there, throw some money in a machine while your card is in it, and you'll get offers. I'm sitting on 1 week free at Caesars properties (quad, bally's, harrah's, etc)... you'd be shocked at the deals they're throwing around lately.

The reason why he's getting that rate at Paris is because he has a Total Rewards card and his history of play.

Check mycheapvegas and smartervegas for discount codes. Defiantly try and stay mid-strip at either Planet Hollywood, Paris, Bally's, Flamingo or Harrah's depending on your budget. Avoid The Quad like the plague.

March Madness is one of the busiest times in Vegas.

Yes you read that right, $27 total + $20 food credit daily and tickets to George Wallace. Cherna was correct its because of my history of play.

March Madness is awesome, there is so much energy that week, especially the first 2 or 3 nights.
If you want some help, PM me and I can help you out.

Since you are in Etobicoke, the best way is 100% Southwest. Our flight is now full, but there is a later direct one that is $190 to get there and $233 return on the Monday.

Doing some pre-planning for a bachelor party for a group of 13 guys in June, and was wondering if we are pretty much SOL for getting into pool parties and clubs. I figured our best bet would be to break off into smaller groups and finding solo groups of girls to get in with is about it?

Another question would be typical bottle service cost at a nightclub or strip club?

Bally's rooms are bigger but alot older (unless you upgrade to another tower - forgot which one) - I guess more relevant if you're trying to fit more than two people in a room. Flamingo rooms are much smaller but the beds/"living room" area has been recently renovated (if you upgrade, you can get the rooms that have been entirely renovated). Bally's seems (at least to me) be a "quieter casino" than the Flamingo.

I believe you could just talk to one of the hosts and buy your way into any of those events. Because it's a bachelor party I'm sure there won't be any objections.

north tower i believe was the recently renovated (or at least newer looking rooms) in 2010.

I'm looking to book a room at the Cosmopolitan and was reading through the Marriott best price guarantee. I did a quick search through the thread and couldn't find anything recent but remember reading of people having great success and getting discounted Cosmo rates.
I know for the days I'm looking at it is 230/night on Marriott.com and $186 on Priceline. My interpretation of their policy is that I'll receive a rate of $180 $186 - ($44 * 25%)). Has anyone been using this guarantee recently?
I know I've attempted the one through Caesar's before and you can't even get them to get back to you (and that was to just match the rate) so I'm curious if this is worth my time.

It's extremely rare that those guarantees work - usually you have minutes or at max hours before it's fixed.

If you can get them on the phone or something I'd go for it - I've only looked at it with best western and a few other chains, but not marriot. Take a look through the terms and conditions and make sure it is for the exact same room type
