$245cad per person for 4 nights at Excalibur + round trip airfare with Swoop from Edmonton, straight shot. I’m getting a $30usd food credit out of the deal, so more like $205cad. Resort fees I’m splitting with my roommate, this will put price back up and I’m assuming those fees are in USD. So I’ll say $300cad for 4 nights. I’ll bring some more money, and also my scotia gold Amex that now has no exchange fee. I can redeem my $350 of Amex reward pts, making this free.

Playing the slot games for rewards and searching for more deals/freebies. I grabbed the Lyft/Uber codes. Scouring this thread, seeing if anyone has anything else. Hopefully others can find crazy deals like this, one buddy I’m going with is flying out from Toronto and it’s quite a bit more for him but still a good deal, same hotel, he’s paying $450-500.
Thats a great deal out of Edmonton even with the Excalibur. Doubt they'll have that price come Jan/Feb.

Uber:
LUXOR2 for a free ride up to $20 - worked perfectly

Lyft:
FREEFIRST - was supposed to be $20 but turned out to be $2.50 off two rides

These ones I didn't try:
$15 $5 credit per ride for 3 rides
LYFTPROMO15

$16 $4 credit per ride for 4 rides
LYFTPROMO16

$18 $3 credit per ride for 6 rides
LYFTPROMO18

$25 $2.50 credit per ride for 10 rides
LYFTPROMO25

Thank you so much for the codes.

Can LUXOR2 be used for ride from airport to any hotel on the strip or does it have to be a ride to LUXOR?

I don't think it matters, but just to be safe, if you're staying at an MGM property, use MLIFE

This might be YMMV, but when I signed into my Caesars account, I was able to book at Planet Hollywood on Nov 21-25 for $80 + $148 resort fees + tax. I don't go to Vegas too often, would this be a decent deal?

$20 a night + Resort fee which is now standard
I doubt there is anything cheaper at the same level of PH.

Used SuperShuttle to and from McCarran. Very smooth the way there but had to wait for the shuttle the way back - but still had about 80 minutes before flight time. Total cost was $19.80 US, booked in advance on their site.

Stayed at the Gold Coast, they have a free shuttle running to The Orleans and to the Fashion Show Mall (Strip). I signed up for their card (B-Connected) which is tied into a few casinos there and got $10 free slot play when I went to the kiosk. I found $10 Pai Gow Poker and $5 Double Deck BJ 3:2 odds! Pretty good and cheap gambling if you don't mind going a mile off strip. I did some gambling each of the four nights and got free buffets as well. Playing 5c Video Poker I was gathering up those free beers and mixed drinks like crazy.

Just be aware that the casino's are like one big ashtray so if you have asthma or something, wear a gas mask. Also, everyone has their hand out and expects a tip, from shuttle drivers to people making your omelet in the buffet. Just be aware.

I don't think as Canadians we are used to places that are so smoky. The first time we went to Vegas we got super cheap accommodations at the MGM. What a big mistake that was. It was super smoky and I felt a bit sick all of the time and didn't really have a great time. We had some comp buffets at the MGM but these were pretty gross also. The whole trip made me never want to go back to Vegas, ever!

Then a couple of years we ago I got suckered into going down again but this time we stayed at Trump hotel in a mini-suite for also a very amazing deal. The hotel was entirely NONsmoking and it was only at that moment did I realize that the MGM was so gross because of the smoke. I didn't know what it was when I was actually there at the time. The trip was entirely different. We ate at better buffets and we had an amazing time.

It truly is amazing what a difference where you stay can make on your whole vacation.

Smoke is the downside of going off strip or downtown.

The strip places still have some, but tend to have far superior ventilation.

Any tips on how to get a good deal on concerts or magic shows? Also any recommendations for a Grand Canyon tour?

Thanks!

And if you are sitting at a table with a cigar smoker right next to you, how does that ventilation help you? You can't get away from smoke in Las Vegas unless there's a casino that has a sealed off Non Smoking area.

There are a bunch of Vegas apps you can put on your phone, you'll find discounts there for almost anything in LV. If you are a gambler, immediately get a players card and rack up some points. Then ask if you can get discounts or free shows.

6 strip casinos have a non smoking gaming area. For the rest, move seats and/or tables.

Don't buy those show/adventure tickets up front on Expedia. There are apps you can get that will give you a discount and if you are a gambler with a rewards card - you might even get some for free.

Bally's has a good sale on right now, pretty good pricing for the Strip area. Just be aware of the Resort Fees of almost $40 US/night per room.

Those last couple legs will kill you being stuck on a bus that long going back and forth from Vegas. I would recommend renting a car and finding cheap hotels/campsites to stay at when going to those parks. Maybe not LA, but zion/bryce/northrim/antelope is doable.

I had a pleasant flight on Frontier. No issues at all.

a quick search on AC shows $509 return for flights on your days..that leaves you guys about $1600 cdn for hotel for a week...you should be able to get hotel for a lot cheaper ..mind you..the rodeo is in town that week so I wouldn't wait too long..I am booked already for the same time (and staying at Bally's lol)..and all of those shows could be had cheaper once you get there..there are always coupons for Circque and other shows when you are there

I have the Vegas.com app. I saw on Expedia.ca that Bally's was one of their featured hotels with a big discount, but that was for my next trip in February. Unsure if that would correlate to when you are going.
