Has anyone stayed at Downtown Grand ? Any experiences you can share?
Haven't seen the rooms but have gambled there and ate at the rooftop patio. Nice small place clean and chic. Probably the first choice downtown compared to the crowds of the nugget and mediocre refurb of the plaza and main street station. However the prices on the rooms aren't competitive from what i have seen.

Slightly off Fremont st, not far enough that it matters. Also a small hike to your room since its in another tower. Rooms are basic and clean, nothing special, and also not as noisy as the hotels directly on Fremont St. Still prefer to stay on the Strip, especially with the Royal offer.
What is the Royal offer? We've visited Vegas a twice before but we've never stayed near Fremont... what should we expect? I'm partially considering staying on Freemont because of a breakfast buffet we loved last time. We couldn't find anything comparable on the strip. Any suggestions for us?

Link above for Royal Offer. If you go in you will see offer is extended to March 18. Great deal. We discuss linking reservations 2 or 3 pages back on here. I much prefer the strip and Fremont is not for me...although we visit and eat there every trip.

wow O is going for $123 USD with the upper section when looking from Vegas.com and it seems Tix4tonight usually don't have the top of the cirque shows to fill/sell on same day.

Can anyone else recommend any good shows to check out?

All those places are the worst of the worst on or close to the strip. Do you need to be on strip or even close by? There are a lot of decent casinos elsewhere in the city some that don't charge resort fees.

Main street station downtown and cannery on the north side are a couple of options.
Meh, "worst" is subjective. All were less than $100 a night including resort fees and were all rated between 3.3/5 and 3.8/5 on Hotels.com. Cannery has a rating of 3.9/5 and is twice the price of Ellis Island which is rated 3.8/5.

Ultimately, I ended up crashing at my friend's place. And spent a lot more time on The Strip then I expected.

Groupon has some great shows. Stuff like Ultimate Variety Show, Vegas! The Show, Nathan Burton are all great value.

Right. Groupon or Mlife can give you good deals too. I scored a pair of tickets are the front section for KA for $75 each which sually sells for $130+
O is always expensive, you won't able to find a deal much lesser than face value.
tic4tonight, I tried but it only gives me few dollars off for the show I wanted to see.

We went to Fremont last DEC, We Lyft it there after we spend hours at North Outlet, they are only few minutes drive apart.
There is ziplining at Fremont and some shops for souvenirs which will be much less than those in strip.
I still rather stay in Strip than anywhere else in LV although the resort fee.

Anyone here going to be in Vegas from Oct 23-Oct 25? Pm me if you want to meet up and go for drinks or gambling or whatever.

Has anyone here tried the heart attack grill? Wouldn’t mind trying the single bypass burger if it’s good.

Very sad event. Was planning a trip to Las Vegas in the next couple of weeks before this incident but might give it some more time. Too shocking.
Assuming you are not going anymore, why let someone’s actions (as horrible as they were) affect your travel plans. I said in another thread somewhere on here that even though this happened, I’m not letting it stop me from traveling and doing what i want to do. It’s not like Vegas is a war zone.

I'm the same boat newbie to Vegas. This Royal offer is all people talk about but when you click one the link it doesn't state what the offer is!
What is the offer??

There are 786 pages in this thread...is there a simplified "prep for Vegas cheat sheet / to do list" to refer to? Like how far in advance to plan? Should we book a package or hotel directly etc. Etc..

Help!
Thanks

That links leads you directly to the Crown royal offer page with hotel deals. The room rate is better than if you just login in elsewhere to book.
Stay 2 nights minimum and you can have those resort credit to spend during your 2 nights stay on any food and drinks.

If you staying for 4 nights, book the 2 + 2 separately with your travel companion's name.

A lot of Groupon Deals at Vegas, check that out.

Play my vegas slot games. You can earn chips to redeem stuff to use in Vegas. Do some research about it. There is a thread in RFD under freebie section I think, but there is even more pages than this one, lol
Or just google it to get an idea.
Last time, we played enough to redeem a buffet dinner at Aria and some other stuff.
