Question: I got the phone on #807 number going to do address change.
I was wondering if I want this to be compatible with Blackberry (BB10) for Data. Do I have to take a specific Plan for BB? I want to able to go back and forth. I know with Rogers I have a BIS Package and I can seamlessly switch SIM cards out of the phones to be able to use both data devices. Does Bell have this option with ThunderBay Plan? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Let's be honest here.... everyone, myself included, is getting this plan when they really shouldn't. Considering how many people are taking advantage of it there's a high likelihood that most people won't be able to keep it. Bell will eventually get around to everyone who has it to make sure they're actually from TBay.
Sure it might last a few months, and sure we might be able to leave Bell with no penalty, but if anyone thinks they'll be able to go the full length of a 3 year contract with this should take reality check. Some people might slip through the cracks but the majority won't. It's still worth going for either way though because if it does last a while you're still saving some money and score a free high end phone with it._______________

I agree 100% and if Bell does cancel my plan without penalty, then I'll be going back to Wind, that's for sure. The only people taking advantage of this loophole is RFD/Hofo users and maybe a few other people who don't use forums. I think we're looking at 200 people who have signed up with this plan who are outside of Thunder Bay, speculation of course. Lets just say it's 400, do you think Bell is going to fret with such a small amount of customers?. I don't know, I think the customers calling in all the time are the ones getting their accounts looked at. IMO, if you switch to the plan, port your number and never ever call in again, you may not have a problem.

Bell is a corporation that is after profits, it is not a charitable organization that is operating for your best interests.
Not just the telecom companies but the gas companies as well, this is how corporations operate, to try and maximize their profit margins. They are not going to sit idly by while you walk away with their hard earned dollars. As long as you have this plan you are a criminal in their eyes that must be dealt with.

This plan isn't even all that great imo. It should include a $300 port in credit and then it would match my Telus friends and family corporate plan. (I have a friend who works at a bank)
Of course I didn't feel the 6gb of data was worth $30 per month, so I just stuck to the $20 per month canada wide talk/text w free htc one v phone and $300 in bill credits. Could've got the S3 included if I had taken the 6gb of data (instead of selling the v and buying the S3 afterwards)Last edited by IntrepidRT; Dec 24th, 2012 at 09:41 AM.

I can tell you with a pretty high level of confidence that this plan does not match your "bank friend's" plan.
$45 x 36 = $1620.
-$300 Port Credit = $1320
-$720 Subsidy (Note 2) = $720
-$160 Dealer Commissions = $560 net over 36 months.
Then there are other costs like customer service, billing, network maintenance, technical support, etc...
That's a helluva business model you are imagining there.Last edited by WorldIRC; Dec 24th, 2012 at 09:43 AM.
