But it is.
Guess who T-Mo has a Canadian partner though. What's more hilarious is that Wind charges less for roaming on Rogers than Rogers charges its own clients (Fido). And Rogers tags on long distance on top of it.
Won't help much. There's about a dozen or so phones that are compatible with AWS at the moment. That's not a lot of choice. And you have to present a compatible phone for them to sell you the SIM only.

Wow that sounds way to good to be true.
That's even cheaper then what T-Mobile US charges when roaming in Canada.Question
I am leaving for the U.S. soon, what do I need to know?
Answer
Starting in January, calls from the U.S. to Canada cost the same low rate as any other AWAY Zone calls… and you will be able to call anywhere from the U.S. as soon as your phone is activated.

Unlocked phone will be allowed very soon.
Question
Can I buy a SIM card only?
Answer
To everyone who's commented about SIM card only sales, thank you very much for your feedback. We're listening. The WIND team is working diligently towards a solution where you will be able to have service with us without having to purchase a handset. The goal is to have this in place by the end of next week. Hope you don’t mind having to wait that long and we will try our best to inform members once it is available or give us a call or email/blog us if you are getting impatient.
Bear in mind though that the N900 or other phones may or may not be compatible with our network and you would have to “qualify” it in person at one of our stores with the help of one of our team members.
Your suggestions are what will make WIND Mobile the best company in Canada, so please keep them coming.Last edited by darkman007e; Dec 20th, 2009 at 12:41 AM.

will my N95 8GB work with WIND? (it is a Rogers N95-4 that was flashed to regular bios and unlocked).
According to this website, it should work..
http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n95_8gb-2088.php
Any advices?
I'm thinking at this point to go for WIND mobile and stick with my N95 until N900 comes out in WIND's stores.. if my phone is compatible with their network, it may be a good idea.

What does it mean? I will pay roaming fees or something similar?
I just found out for sure it won't work..
the phone is compatible with 2100mhz but not with 1700mhz.. and WIND needs both..
I'm thinking of getting a cheaper phone (probably HTC Dream) until N900 will be available in WIND stores...
