Hey guys,

I have no experience with koodoo. It uses Telus/Bell networks, so naturally the phones will not be compatible with Rogers or fido, nor Wind/Mobilicity?

Also, does koodoo negotiate better plans if you call in before signing up for a plan?

This particular phone is pentaband, meaning it'll work with every single company including wind/mobi, with the exception of public mobile I believe because their's is a CDMA network.

but for sure is 0 $ for the phone something with a 3 year contract involved

i asked if this 3 year contract was a tab he said i am not too sure and told me to call back in an hour or so

I don't think Koodoo has contracts to begin with, he's prob talking about the big 3.

Just came back from WM @ Hwy7/Bayview and the price is $150+tab($150) and $100 WM GC. Basically $50+tab($150)

Just checked at WM at 12451 88th Avenue Surrey BC, Surrey (#5838). $150 Tab plus $150 in store. I think this thread deserves a big YMMV.

I was told $150 plus the tab but the CSR was extremely cagey about it. I wouldn't doubt that it is $0 plus tab.

The Koodo TAB works like this;
If your bill for the month is 45 dollars (before taxes) and you pay it then 4 dollars and 50 cents (10%) goes towards your tab. If you have not used your tab then it will add as a credit untill your tab gets to $150.00 credit. If you get a phone that costs $300.00 then you can put a maximum of $150.00 on your tab and you pay the rest cash. If you had a credit of $50.00 on your tab from not ever having used it and paying your bills on time then you could have $200.00 go on your tab, the $50.00 credit and then you would be $150.00 owing. Each month 10% of your bill before taxes gets credited towards your tab until it is payed off. If you leave Koodo then you would have to pay the outstanding tab off. While you are still with Koodo it makes no sense to pay the tab off as it is paying itself off.
The 10% is not coming out of your pocket it is sort of a credit for paying your bill on time though they will probably explain it some other way.

As I understand it Koodo does not have contracts. They only do the 'tab'. Something weird going on, it might be YMMV but usually Walmart has nationwide pricing.

Just called Walmart and they did say it was 0 going to go get one now will report back

My understanding is with Nexus 4 with Quadcore CPU and HD screenb being launched in 10 days at 309/359, all galaxy S II prices are lowered to clear inventory.

You are confused. This phone does not come in 8gb or 16gb versions.

just called the store stated by OP and the guy said its 148 in store + 150 on tab

got back from wal-mart richmond hill bayview and major mackenzie

you do get the $100 gift card anything koodo website is promo on but is not " $0" for the phone, is $148 for the phone + pay the 150 TAB you get $100 Gift card from wal mart

made phone call to Mississauga location the wal-mart rep said one csr did an error and helped the customer on getting "$0" on the phone was an activation error
