other RFD members were saying if you go after 10 pm, Zellers will be closed and WalMart wouldn't be able to call them to confirm.

A number of locations are open 24 hours this time of year.

well, even if you had the flyer, there's nothing really to "confirm"... the ad is pretty vague and doesn't explicitly say what titles are included.

WM has always req'd flyers for PMs
i've had success w/ receipts, but rarely on website printouts (but the latter isn't impt for this situation)

Sick deal if you actually managed to pull it off, my local Zellers had a bin with unwanted games to say the least. I work for FS so I know Zellers/HBC lost big bucks if they got cleaned out with this ridiculous scheme. Good Job on those who got new games tho. As to PM it at FS or BB i'll save you the gas and say its not going to work, I get ppl who want to PM and there's a long procedure that we have to follow which ultimately ends with the Manager since a password has to be type to authorize the sale.

the std procedure is that they call the competitor to verify pricing and/or stock. that's about it. i'm not sure what the "long" part is... except perhaps waiting on the phone...

MOD's approval via p/w for authorization of PM? uh... no
CSRs can do price overrides themselves (and that includes PMs).
i don't work for FS/BB and i know that

there ARE certain things to which they need MOD codes for an override (such as a "bucket move" - but that's a diff story), but PMs in general do not need MOD codes --- if it's a large price diff., they might ask the MOD for approval tho (YMMV)

this isn't stooples where a PM on every_single_item requires MOD approval code

Went to Queensway WM at 5:30am and tried to PM, rep said that they have to call Zellers to verify so I would have to come back when Zellers is open.

Ugh... gonna try the Bathurst/Centre location!

Ohhh, right. If PM takes off more than $50 (if I remember correctly), WalMart cashiers have to call a cash manager to approve it with a password, and most cash managers will intensely question the PM. Soooo you could only do it without having a cash manager called if you get a $20 and a $60 or something. You could do this in seperate transactions then maybe return the cheaper games later? I dunno if that would work too well though.

yeah at WM the manager had to be there and used her key everytime the guy overrided the prices
