[Metro] Metro - Beyond Meat Burger - Buy 1 Get 1 Free $7.99 Jan23-29

Starting Jan 23, Metro is advertising the Beyond Meat Burger with a Buy One, Get One free promo

Works out to $2 per burger, at least for Ontario.

Let's try and keep this thread clean of arguing about vegan and meat eating and all that please. This is not a product for everyone but then again, no product is for everyone.

Comes down to $2 a burger patty. Pretty good deal.
In comparison 20$ for 8 at Costco comes to 2.50 a patty, so many Beyond deals already this year.

Thanks. I'm glad to see these are going on sale more often. I'm an unapologetic meat eater but I like these Beyond Burgers,

Now, they've got to work to get these down to $1.50 a patty to get them competitive. Regular price of $4 a patty is completely insane.

As a comparison, the LightLife (can be had at Harvey's for a fast food option) burgers were Buy 1, Get 2 Free a couple of weeks ago at Sobeys. They were $7.99 but you got 3 packages so that comes out to around $1.33 a burger. That was a very good deal. It was also on their ground equivalent, which was $9.99.

What is the best way to cook these? Same as regular burger?

I like them cooked on the grill more than any other method, but a hot skillet definitely works. They can get a nice char/crust on them which makes them substantially better (and I already like them). If you can't do a high heat sear, you might be disappointed- I find it's why I like these much more at home than at A&W.

I have problems digesting red meat, this is a very tasty alternative. i love beyond meat products, my favorite so far is probably the BEYOND MEAT BALL from subway.
