I'm considering buying an E-P3 or OM-D as my E-P1 is starting to feel a little underpowered in terms of processing things.
I'm looking to use either camera as a general everyday shooting camera. I'm leaning towards purchasing the OM-D + 12-50mm kit lens. The thing is I have a 12mm f/2.0 lens which is great and all, but I feel like I would have the kit lens on the camera, due to overlapping focal lengths, if I were to get the 12-50mm. Would it be a bad idea to sell the 12mm if I went this route?

The 12mm f2 is an awesome lens.
OM-D is sooo much better than the EP-3 and much better value. The new IS system works really well and AF is seriously fast for a mirrorless. Viewfinder works great as well.

Buy the OM1 Much better camera. The focusing is better than the ep3 by a tonne. That 12-50 lens included is awesome. Its powered zoom is sweet

lol 12-50 is crap, power zoom is for amateur photographer and maybe videographers. something like a 20mm or 25mm would be a perfect compliment to 12 f2 and something like a 45mm f1.8.. I have handled all of these lenses. the 12-50 sticks out really long in my opinion, I feel like all the push pull mechanics are really stiff, and might break easily.. (just my feeling)
I would look into an Panasonic GX1, as it's price has fallen considerably. I would even go for EP3. you will loose a lot of value in the OMD, after the hype people will realize that it will not worth the 1k price tag. spend that money on a Panasonic 25mm, 7-14mm, and 45mm (if u don't have these already)

oh yea no doubt 12-50 is versatile and practical for travelling.. but I would think that if you want to be a little more serious, you must have some good primes

I'm leaning towards a 1 lens setup for mft to be honest. Whether that is a single prime or a general zoom I'm not 100% sure on. I shoot with only primes on my Canon and Leica and I know I shoot a lot of my photos at the 35mm focal length. But there are times where I wish I had something wider and other times where I wanted something more tight.
Still unsure if I should keep the 12mm olympus or not though =/. I don't really use it enough to justify keeping it, but if I sell it I know I'll miss it lol.
Edit:
I'll pass on the OM1 for now haha. Have too many film cameras already and not enough film ^^ lol.

I wouldn't keep the 12mm, I know you probably got a good deal on it
, otherwise I wouldnt think anyone would go out and get one.
the panasonic 20mm (40mm equivalent) is pretty amazing. for the longest time it was the only lens that was mounted on my old EPL2. I find that if I just zoom with my feet I can get pretty much 90% of the shots I wanted. If you prefer a little wider, the panasonic 14mm f2.5 pancake is amazingly portable, and 28mm range is pretty standard for a lot of work.
