Good post otherwise. Easy to compare at a glance.
OP only needs to put the price range in the title.

Not Winnipeg
I hate making decisions. The $1600 model sounds perfect but I don't know if i need the tablet functionality.

Is the battery life decent with the dGPU models?

So tempting, just saw the deal as well not sure if I should get it or the xps 13 D:, also still in stock for the $1276 one.

I would highly advise against XPS 13. I have XPS 15 and it is great but the XPS 13 model is riddled with extensive coil whine.

I've heard so much about that D:, spoke to some Dell rep's and they all claim "problem solved for kabylake" but there's dozens of cases online of people saying they have coil whine. I think I wont get the xps 13 so it's just between the X1 Carbon 2017 and the surface book.

Back in stock, looking at the review on that page a lot of people are complaining about the quality of the refurbished surface book. I'm kind of interested in this deal, how did yours turn out OP? Was the laptop itself in like-new condition, dents, scratches, anything of that sort?

Cheers
