[Microsoft] MS Office 2016 Pro $13 only! Mac and Windows Versions

HUP is the Home User Program for employees and students of organizations that have broad licensing of MS products. Depending on the organization's licensing you may also have access to Visio and Project (you need to get the HUP email and click on the BUY link to see what programs are offered to you).

Thanks to DemonicHawk for letting us know that the 2016 program has started.

If your work or school has the "right" type of licensing with Microsoft you can get Office cheap. Based on your work or school email.

Microsoft Office 2016 Professional comes with:

Microsoft Word 2016
Microsoft Outlook 2016
Microsoft PowerPoint 2016
Microsoft Excel 2016
Microsoft OneNote 2016
Microsoft Publisher 2016
Microsoft Access 2016

Office Home and Business for Mac 2016 is also available for $11

These are the full permanent versions. It is not an annual license (a la Office 365).

Your work email might work.
Some school emails should work.
If you don't have a program code from your employer click "Don't Know Your Program Code? Click Here", then enter your school or work email address there. If it works you'll get an email with a link to a payment screen. Sometimes it looks like it accepts your email but nothing happens (and you don't get MS Office for $11)

Good Luck.

Details from RFDer apf888
http://www.microsofthup.com/hupus/faq.aspx

Who qualifies for the Home Use Program (HUP)?
The Home Use Program is a Software Assurance benefit available to Microsoft volume licensing customers with active Software Assurance coverage on their Office applications. Employees who use the covered licenses at work are eligible to purchase these Office applications for use on a home PC during the term of their employment. This temporary license expires with the employers Software Assurance coverage, or upon termination of employment with the covered customer.

On how many computers can I install the software?
1 device (change from 2013 offer which included 2 devices)

As far as activation and transfer, it seems they relaxed the policy in Office 2013 so that you can transfer move it to another PC (once every 90 days).

Download links are no longer working for many people, so a downloadable version has been found. See this post.

RFDer ahoroba did some testing and believes the download is legit.

Works for 2016

Some people may not qualify...I used my university's email and it got approved, so conditions may vary. People on slickdeals say if you are in military or gov you might also be eligible.

Edit: I didn't know the program code and just let MS verify my email address.

Edit: Thanks to cgg123321 (post 20), gmails with code FF2ABA8835 might be working now.

EDIT: JAN 5 2015 - Assigned JWL as active OP

Awesome, thanks (and thanked)

My university emails qualified (uOttawa and U of T).

I got Professional 2007 for $40 before, so getting 2010 for $10 is a great deal!

I have this offer at work.

Try using your work email address, if your company qualifies you'll be able to order.

Good Luck.

You acknowledge that your right to use Microsoft® software under an MSHUP license will expire upon the earlier of
(a) termination of your employment with the volume licensing customer through which you gained access to MSHUP, or
(b) the expiration or termination of Software Assurance coverage for the corresponding copy of the MSHUP – eligible desktop application that you use at work.

My old uni address also works.

Does anyone know if I have to download the software now? I'd like to wait to order a new computer which may take a month or so ...

Don't you need to fill both boxes to continue? You need a valid work email AND a valid program code.

Guess Office 2010 is reaching end of life sooner than we thought. Good way to make something for almost nothing...
