Microsoft store 15z $399.00 Boxing Day backorder policy

To all that have ordered the 15z on boxing day. Did your order say "PREORDER"....NO. Did it say "bacdorder now"...NO.

It said "add to cart"..I assumed it was in stock and when stock was gone it would say SOLD OUT!

If I had known that it was going to be backordered, I would have purchased another ultrabook that was on special that week. Now the deals have gone and my hopes are slowing fading on seeing it before the end of January.

Microsoft, you should at least advise your customers of the delay. Maybe its a hard drive or stick of ram on backorder. If this is the issue you should instruct Dell to upgrade the backodered component and have your customers satisfied.

If not, how about some communication.

yeah im pissed.
I ordered before it went OOS. came back into stock, people ordered and they received theirs already. I am gona complain so much.........I missed out on other laptop deals because i thought i would actually be receiving this thing.

Dell does not even show this coming with an i5 anymore just an i7.

they better give us a 4th gen i7 version then for the price. I doubt there's that many people in the same situation as us.

That or offer us the inspiron 7000 for 500 or something :lol:

it's understandable that they didn't provide any info in regards to our order between the time I ordered till a couple of days after new years. It's two weeks after new years, and all the staff should be back at work, yet I have no received any communication from them.

I ordered the 15z on December 24 when it was in stock but change to backorder the next day.

Note: the Canadian Dell page only has the i7 with a shipping date of later May 2014 and the USA Dell page only list the i3

I already voice my disappointment with this issue on MS FB page and scroll down to Dec 26 boxing day ad .

I am still monitoring your order here for Dell Inspiron 15z Touchscreen Laptop and I can see here that is still on backordered status and at the moment we do not have any update yet for the availability of the product. However once stocks become available, your order will be shipped and you will be notified for that and I'll conotinue to monitor your order here.

Dont think we will be getting this. Their customer support is absolutely GARBAGE. They offered me the "chance" to get another laptop for 400 and they will give me free overnight shipping.
They also said laptop was in high demand so we may not even receive it.................
this is the *****ing worst customer service i have ever dealt with

That seems pretty bad. I got mine on a restock and it shipped pretty promptly.

That's pretty bad service if they don't ship in chronological order. It probably worked out in my favour, but that's still not cool.
