Staples PM'ed for me tonight. A call to the Yorkdale Mall location. They confirmed stock and I was off to the races. Would have tried FS or BB for the extra 10% of dif but I had about $300 in gift cards, and $20 coupon for Staples.

Wow...just got home and the keyboard had been delivered by Fedex. Purchased on the 5th and filled out the form that night.
It was sent overnight from California

How would this work if I receive the dock from Asus and decide to return the device to MS store? Am I stuck with the tablet once I apply for the dock?

ARM is not at the same performance level as x86. ARM advantage is when it is doing nothing, it sip very few juice but if you really need to do something, it is much slower than x86.
just for comparison, the fastest sunspider benchmark I see so far is iphone 5 which is 1/2 the performance of my 5+ years old core dual 1.86Ghz.
Intel's Haswell and on is supposed to fix the 'doing nothing but still suck juice' issue for x86, and why I want to wait.

Also, what I was very suprised in finding is that Windows 8 RT comes with Remote Desktop Connection installed for desktop mode. I also downloaded the Remote Desktop Metro App (free) from the Microsoft Store. Both apps work very well.
Now I use all my desktop PC apps right from my tablet!
That is how I use my mom's iPad when I visited her.

Do they allow you to return it with the UPC label cut out from the box? Or a re-taped box.

I don't even know why they ask you to cut out the SN label from the box if you are only to send them a picture of the SN. Either I'm missing something or this doesn't make sense to me.
Did people who already submit their request cut out the SN label or just take a picture of it from the box?
EDIT: nvm, The picture has to include the receipt. So no way to return this once you apply for the dock.

Because they want to make sure you can't return the tablet.

Great price with keyboard. Their site still list her at $599.00. Return policy reads 14 days. A restocking fee of ten percent will be deducted - hope that means open boxes.
Gee, better to price match in case of returns.
It would be 'cool' if one can load the Android OS if RT does not add more apps soon.
Nice find, OP
