[Microsoft Store] Dell Alienware Aurora R6 Gaming Desktop $1499

Searching through the MS 12 Days of Christmas deals and spotted this desktop. Specs look pretty decent. I would want more RAM and an SSD but I think this is a pretty solid price for the package.

I find this one more interesting in term of bang for buck.

https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/lenovo-ult ... AqD7bLWUPI
6th generation intel.
Other than the video card (which can be replaced) it does not outperform this system and does not justify the extra $299 spent.
And the fact you get to say "Hey I bought my 'puter at Walmart!" doesn't make it help any as a computer gaming enthusiast.

What kind of power supply doesGrinning Face With Smiling Eyes these auroras have in them anyways?

I bought the Lenovo for the same price a few months ago, fantastic PC! Very well built. The Lenovo has double the ram, way better video card and a 128gb SSD. Nothing wrong with the gen 6 I7. If you spec out the Alienware with 16gb ram you still get a lower end video card and the price jumps up to more then the Lenovo.

I think you can do better direct from Dell. I Bought an XPS despktop with I7 8700 , 8gb 1070 graphics and 225GB SSD for $1350 in the week before Black Friday. Only has 8GB RAM, but that's an easy post purchase upgrade. Keep an eye on here for coupons etc. Here's a 10% coupon to start you off!!

PS This was our second XPS system and pleased with both. Far easier and slightly cheaper than self build, and in reality few will upgrade much anyway. Good luck!

Typo, Intel does not have a i7-7700U processor

Source: https://ark.intel.com/products/series/9 ... Processors

Same unit at Best Buy says "i7-7700"

And isn't it nice how on there it shows the system with dual video cards?Neutral Face
Can't trust everything you see on these retailer sites.
They just want to sell their systems.

Where does it say this comes with dual video cards?

from the overview...
Immerse yourself in the game and dominate the competition with the Alienware Aurora from Dell. This VR-ready, dual graphics-ready PC features a 3.6GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, and a big 1TB hard drive. AC Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, and multiple USB 3.0 ports let you connect and expand.
