[Microsoft Store] Dell Venue Pro 8 64 gig $269

I've been looking for a Windows 8 Tablet, and noticed I had a $25 coupon for MS store, so while searching I see they have the Dell Venue Pro 8 64 gig version on sale for the same price as the 32gig. I think its a good deal!!

P.s first deal I've posted in 5 years so hopefully I didn't screw it up to bad :)

Mind if you put the price? It is easier to read the 'title" thank you.

Don't quote me on this, but I wonder if there would be some door crashers on this when the Eaton Centre store opens in November? I remember they had these for $99 for the other stores.

Also ever since Windows 8.1 with Bing came along, expect a lot more cheap tablets too.

I had looked long and hard at both the Dell and the Asus

Asus does have the digitizer, but very high fail rate, around the screen edges it seems to not work well, and over the speakers it works poorly. Also I find the dell has a better screen.

Looks tempting, and I did want to try a windows tablet. However, I just can't think of anything that my current laptop and android tablet (both are aging but works fine) can't do but this can. Might just save the money.

Could be clearing stock for the new Venue 8 Pro 5000 Series.

I wish these had micro HDMI.

Pretty good deal.

I like my Venue PRO but the one down side is still not a lot of apps for the tablet. At least Netflix is there though!

It's a tablet with full windows 8.1... so it has the entire "windows compatible" application line [woot Minesweaper] available (vs Window RT, Android or iOS which require specialized apps). Presumably you mean apps specifically designed for the tablet though.

I was going to consider it but a 800p screen isn't enough.

Agreed. Love mine and of course pretty much every app has a desktop version but it's useful to have a slimmed down, quick and easy to access, touch optimized version on a tablet that size.

Got the 16GB for $199 last year during the sale and I love the ability to multitask and run full versions of programs on my tablet. Gaming isn't the best, unsurprisingly, but it does run Hearthstone pretty well. Tried to run Diablo 3 on it, didn't go too well :P

STOP

you guys should really look into the WinBook TW801

-it's cheaper
-has an EXTRA usb 3.0 (YES THREE-POINT-OH port)
-HDMI port

drawbacks is that the display shows some gridlines, the touch points are bit further apart then the dell, and i dont thinik you get full office (only office 365 1 year subscription)

i honestly think the pros greatly outweigh the cons

anywyas, just a heads up.
