[Microsoft Store] Dell XPS 13 9360 (i5/8GB/128GB/touch Rose Gold) $999

Update: The i5/8GB/128GB model appears to be out of stock...however, someone in the thread mentioned the possibility of more coming in stock. The 256GB version with QHD+ touchscreen is still available at a decent price: $1249

Hey RFDer's...this is my first time posting in the Hot Deals forum so please don't skewer me too much ;)

I was looking at the thread for the XPS 13 9360 for $1129 (i5/8GB/128GB) when I noticed there appears to be a unit at the Microsoft Store with the same specs for $999. The only difference I could see was that this unit is 'rose gold'.

I find it odd that they have a 1080p touchscreen version....I've never seen this configuration before on Dell's website. If it's legit, it would be better on battery life than the QHD+ touchscreen model.

Thoughts? I think it is a pretty hot deal...Best deal I've seen for a new XPS 13....If the storage space is too small $250 more gets you 256GB and the QHD+ screen.

Note: It was pointed out that this deal was mentioned in an earlier thread...credit should go shaani: microsoft-store-dell-xps-13-i7-7560u-16 ... 9-2129345/

Seems like a pretty decent deal to me. Good spot. I'm waiting for Black Friday, but if someone wants a portable laptop now it's a solid choice.

must be an error, they do not have touchscreen at that resolution in an XPS13 as far as I can see.

I very much doubt that you will ever find this laptop any cheaper.

the other one at $1129 is also touchscreen. Only difference I currently see is the infinity edge display (and colour)

Looks like they both have that as well so not sure other then colour what the difference is

Was waiting for the Asus Zenbook UX430 to drop in price from $999 but decided to go for the XPS instead. Hope I made the right choice!

Only Microsoft Store models have a 1080p touch screen.

If you want 1080p, you will want these touch screen ones since the regular 1080p screens have adaptive contrast that CANNOT be turned off.

That's almost as much as a small lake.

Interesting. Well I just ordered one. The replacement with the Coffee Lake CPU appears to be just a CPU swap, so this deal looks good for me!

Do you think Bestbuy will price match this with the Aluminium Silver?

Hey - I was thinking the same thing...but even with the 10% off from ebates and $40 in Dell Rewards the Microsoft Store has the better deal.

XPS 13 9360 (Dell.ca - i5/8GB/128GB/1080p/Rose Gold): $1349 - $100 ($100OFF$1300PC coupon code) - $124.99 (ebates) - $40 (Dell Rewards) = $1084 + tax

vs.

XPS 13 9360 (Msft Store i5/8GB/128GB/1080p touch/Rose Gold): $999 + tax

The only advantage i'd see with going with Dell is if you'd want monthly financing at 0% for a year (which I think is still available)...
