Ouch $2349! ...that's why the price is not in the title! ;)

I dont know if I would call this hot. It had a great processor but for the price I would expect a much better graphics card. A 1650 is a graphics card you find in laptops less than $1000.

The X1E perkopolis base model is better for $1817 as it comes with an OLED screen. Less if you choose FHD which is still 500-nits and doubles the battery life.

2x16gb RAM is $200
1TB NVMe is $150
Reselling the 8gb RAM and 256gb SSD is $100 on kijiji

Plus build quality is better for X1E. Thermal design for XPS has been the same since 2015 so there's lots of complaints about heat given the 6-core processors here.

You could clone the old SSD(including the OS) to the new one

Problem is the balance between productivity/performance/battery life. While a better video card would be great in terms of performance, it would hurt battery life, increase weight, and likely increase heat. Since this isnt a gaming light, those factors likely weight in on the specs. You probably have the option to upgrade the video card there but i wouldnt expect the build to have high end video cards anyways. We haven't reached a point where you can truely have an all in one that is great at everything without losing something else.

Double HD space and cheaper.
Also a 1080 screen and half the space/ram, not double, say what you want about whether 4K is necessary or not, but at least compare apples to apples.
