Finally got the 'Your Order has Shipped' email. Was worried there for a couple of day !

Anyone who receives and done that can you share...
34 GB remaining with just Chrome installed on new device.

Stream 14 feels snappier today. Maybe it was the windows updates that made me cranky yesterday.

For anyone that's stuck in Pending, I wanted to share my "support" experience to save you the trouble. Basically the agent didn't know why it was pending but felt it was still processing. They said they can't change or adjust the shipping when it's in this status as I actually asked if they would expedite it for me given that it hasn't changed status in 2 days. YMMV but probably not worth the hassle inquiring as these support staff really have no idea.

Thanks, so enough storage left for a 15 to 20 GB Xubuntu partition (for dual boot), leaving rest for windows.

I'm basically looking for something to watch twitch, youtube and Netflix at 1080, browse Reddit and rfd, do online banking, some Amazon and cap it off with Excel for budgeting...

Is this the machine for me?

Thanks.

Don't have mine yet, but based on what you describe It will handle that (as long as you are not playing multiple video streams at the same time...but why would you). Just give it a couple of days to get and apply all the Windows updates first.

How is the performance of this laptop? Would there be huge lag when trying to open apps or switch apps? How long does it take to startup? Thx

Its a $199 laptop with great screen and just enough performance to do day to day browsing, maybe word and excel. With a warranty. Any more and you will be disappointed.

You are good to go.
You may also like to follow some tweaks as indicated in post #54 to make Windows 10 runs faster on this laptop.
I will certainly follow some of these tweaks when I get mine, hopefully tomorrow according to FedEx tracking info.

I guess many people are attracted by the Windows OS and the included Office 360 subscription.
