yes the 64bit i got is 81.2MB (X14-63452 file name) and after decompress is the 200MB file, as i didn't see the install.wim for the OS, but there is for the Language pack

and have you successfully installed the OS based on that .exe file? Maybe you're right, but I just don't see how you could get a 3.5 GB OS out of an 80+MB file.

Is it worth to upgrade to vista Ultimate, using XP pro now on desktop. On my laptop I switched from Vista premium to XP pro and happy with it. iF Vista ultimate upgrade is worth then which one is better, in terms of peripheral drivers, 32bits or 64bits one? I am inclined to purchase Vista 64 bit.
What you guys would suggest?

Stick with XP Pro, it's much faster and Vista has no real benefits.
The only point in buying this Vista (IMHO) is for people that need a cheap license for an OS less PC (pull out an old copy of your Win98 box and you qualify for the 'upgrade.')

I'm sorry to say you'll be disappointed. I downloaded the first day and got all three files. The 'other' two are the ones that contain the meat of the OS. They're called boot.wim and install.wim and together are about 3.6GB on top of the X14-63453.exe file. I'm honestly a little surprised more people haven't brought this up. Maybe just my luck that my download got corrupted. The real downer is that I can't find any contact info to try to get these files again. I managed to install anyway using a torrent .iso for 64 bit (which contains files for all Vista OS's).
Good luck,
Warren

A big one for me was being able to use more RAM (as in 64 bit); but another reason was for Windows Media Center which is probably Microsoft's best work to date. Hooked up to an Xbox 360 it makes a killer combo for pics, music etc...

both, okay so i did contact them but they never got back to me on where to get those files? because 200MB seems a little too low for an OS even for upgrade

I did this deal last time. Fantastic. Disk took a while to show up (like 6 or 8 weeks), but otherwise the transaction was flawless.

For those who are missing files to download...
Install Instructions:
1.There are three files that will be downloaded:
VistaSetupPrep.exe
This is the first file that came with your purchase of Vista and is the
".exe". If you have not downloaded this already you can go to :
http://store.digitalriver.com/store/...rmationPage#q8
You will see a File Download Security Warning window that gives you the
option to Run, Save, or Cancel the ".exe" download. Click Save.
install.wim
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent....32/install.wim (32-bit)
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent....64/install.wim (64-bit)
boot.wim
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent....sta32/boot.wim (32-bit)
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent....sta64/boot.wim (64-bit)
You must download and keep all files in the same directory!

Hey thanks for digging out these files? Did you have to contact them to find out how to download them?
