People might also want to consider the C3 Parquet edition for $100 more (at Best Buy, probably some other places too). I believe it comes with the extra twister floor tool, plus the C3 vs C1 differences (internal storage, maybe different filtration, made in Germany). It's been that price on and off (and continues to tempt me each time).
so C1 made in china?

This colour is ghastly......I cannot figure if this is bagless either.

How is this product, compared to Dyson?
LOL, it's not, I have it, and yes it uses bags.

This is a great vacuum, and it will do the same job regardless of color... Not like I'm going to be driving this thing around town! ;)

I have a dyson, but I wish I didn't because this is a great deal and I prefer bagged vacuums :(

Why bagged when bagless are so much more convenient? Am I missing something?

I hate cleaning them out...I'd rather toss the bag when it's full. No other complaints, it does a great job.

Makes it easier to find. ;)

Maybe I just don't mind the color, because when I first saw this posted last year, I didn't hesitate about ordering one!

Sucks better, Consumer Reports tested a whole bunch of vacuums and the bagless, including the overpriced Dyson junk, performed worst.

You will need the Powered Wand and the Powered tubing. None of the compact models has it. It has to be C2, or C3 I believe.

This model is not compatible with it

I used to be strictly bagless, but it turns out Bagged is a LOT more convenient. When it is in a bag, dust is actually compacted much better, so space holds a lot more dirt than any Bagless vacuum. Also, you empty them around be four times less. Plus it seals the dust in completely. There is no hassle of any leaking. Also, bagless still have filters where you need to be cleaned, and they are much less reliable and efficient. Where a bagged vacuum the bag itself acts as a filter so you will not be blowing dust back into the house.

Miele resisted making a Bagless version for many years for all these versions, but they eventually relent when it is so easy to be marketed as a newer technology by the competitors. When the consumer buys it all up, they have to do something.

Not this model. This one has a bag and a filter that are not washable and has to be throw out roughly every two bags. When you buy bags it should come with one filter every two bags.

Strongly considering this as our cheapo Bissell one isn't working so well. Was originally planning on waiting to see the boxing week deals but this is tempting.
