Both were Craigslist purchases.
I paid $120 for the H340, which came with a 1TB & 500GB WD drives (pulled those and upgraded to 4x 2TB drives taken from some older iOmega iX2's I had laying around).
Then found an H341 for $100 which came with 2.5 TB's worth of drives (pulled those out and have upgraded with 4x new 2TB Toshiba HDD's from NCIX).

Neither WHS system are using the Drive Extender file duplication, but rather backing everything up to the Mediasonic USB/eSata drive enclosure which holds 4 drives and is formatted in NTFS.
This enclosure can handle up to 4x 6TB drives, which is more than enough room to duplicate the combined 16TB's which the dual WHS's hold.
http://www.ncix.com/detail/mediasonic-h ... 6-1461.htm

Basically both WHS's act purely as media servers, strictly for streaming Video's, Music & Photo's.
All being duplicated and libraried over to the Mediasonic for backup.

I use Free File Sync to copy over all of the newer files added to the WHS's every couple of weeks, works like a charm!

Data or Bit Rot can happen to any system, so I'm not overly concerned with my current setup.
I do feel more comfortable handling my own external file duplication using the FFS software, verses the WHS duplication feature(Drive Extender), or even a RAID setup (not possible in WHS anyways).
Plus that allows the servers to use their full 8TB's of storage room for streaming media.

This deal is back live. Use the $5 newsletter coupon to get it for $174.99, or $364.99 for 8TB. Shows they have ~150 4TB and ~150 8TB Left

how are people getting red's, is it by mistake? the site says:

ST2000DM001
WD20EZRX

but the red is:

WD20EFRX

whats the major difference between these drives? they are all 7200 correct? is it the write speed? sorry i am having a hard time finding specs that show the differences.

"But may vary". Last batch a lot of people are reporting REDs recently, which is very very lucky.

WD Red are more expensive, designed for NAS.
