Will go down in the books as one of the best value cpus intel ever made. Exactly why theyre phasing it out as it canibalizes their i3 line. 2500K would be right up there too.

Intel is finished. Ryzen finally blew them out of the water this year. Looks like the days of Intel's dominance of the PC market is coming to an end. RIP 2007-2017.

For production, people still prefer Intel. So don't count them out yet. Besides, on a per core basis, Intel's core is faster than AMD's.
Waiting until Coffee Lake to see what they have up against AMD.

I wish this was true but sadly it's not. "Blew them out of the water" is a stretch. Don't kid yourself, AMD is now just starting to compete again with Intel which hasn't happened in many years. Intel hasn't produced anything significant in years because they haven't had to as AMD was so far behind, therefore they haven't been pushed to. Intel has some of the most brilliant engineers in the world and we're now going to start to see their true brilliance shine.

This little CPU is amazing for an office computer and can't be beat for the price. It has an integrated GPU where ryzen do not,so the price is cheaper than a combo Ryzen+GPU.

Ryzen is amazing, but on this price range, Intel still have the lead.

You're right about being over priced but got away with it as AMD was barely even in the game. And just now appear to be power hungry as AMD has now developed a product that is very power efficient.
