Mikescomputershop never received item purchased April 09/2015

Good Day,
April 09 2015 I paid for my Item. April 17/2015 they claim to have shipped it. It is now May 06 2015 and never received it. I contacted them and they told me to contact Canadapost. Canadapost says the item never left their facility.
"Dear Customer,

Our investigation into your request indicates that no scan has been uploaded to the Canada
Post tracking system to indicate delivery of your item. If you have still not received the item,
please notify the sender and instruct them to contact Canada Post if they wish to initiate a claim.

What does the tracking say? If you suspect it's lost then contact the retailer and tell them to file a ticket with Canada Post.

You need to tell us more... did they give you a tracking number? What does it say when you entering into the tracking system? Is it stuck somewhere?

That's fine - you've done your part and checked with Canada Post. Now you have to go back to Mike's and say "I checked with CP and they are sure what happened as it was not scanned, but they need you to initiate a trace since you're the shipper. Can you do that?" Simple one line reply. If they have an online chat, do what enwhyRFD did and chat with a live person.

For me it was telling someone that you are not shopping at their store again, you basically killed any real incentive for them to actually help you now that they know there is very little gain to put the extra effort for a one time customer.

So, in the span of 5 minutes, you went from asking them to check what's happening with the order, to have them sort it out or ship you a new unit without figuring out what happened to your original order, to being appreciative, to then being threatening, and then complaining that they're not doing anything.

Here's what I understand from the timeline:

04/09 - Ordered
04/17 - shipping confirmation
05/06 - no deliveries, so you check with CanadaPost, they told you to call seller. You contacted Mike's and they said that they're looking into it.

So the FIRST time that Mike's was aware of any shipping issues was on 05/06. Today. And they DID start looking into it.

However, you're complaining that Mike's is being unreasonable? Because they should've been aware of a shipping issue BEFORE 05/06?

Seriously, this is what tracking #'s are for. To figure out when thing's don't get delivered. Stuff HAPPENS. Mike's is not out to inconvenience you.

On the other hand, if you're saying that Mike's will not reimburse you or investigate the issue or they're taking another month to investigate, then yes, that would be a huge problem, with both fingers pointing to Mike's. But that's not what is happening.

They're looking into it, on the same day you contacted them. Chill.

Why bother, just do a chargeback if your going to communicate with them like you just did.
