Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt Port Compatible) to HDMI HDTV Cable 6ft $8.99

I wished all my computers still came with full sized HDMI ports, but as they get smaller and thinner, the smaller ports are a necessity. The Mini-DP-to-HDMI adapter for my Surface Pro broke so it's time to get a new one. Rather than a dongle, I decided to try this Mini-DP-to-HDMI cable. It works just fine to connect my Surface Pro to my monitor, and is much less expensive than buying the "official" HDMI dongle plus an HDMI cable. It also weighs less than a dongle plus cable combination when I need to take it with me, although there are definitely situations where a dongle is needed or preferred (ex. when you need a really long HDMI cable to connect to a TV, or using a boardroom with built-in HDMI cables). So as long as you're good with a fixed length cable, this is a great product, and very well priced.

I think that's the average going price for that cable. If you don't mind waiting a little longer for shipping, you can order the same cable off ebay for around 5 bucks.

Can probably make this a universal statement about anything. Although the wait might be longer because sometimes it doesn't come.

I think this should be I want to buy my product, before the purchase, I see this product reviews, it seems pretty good, I buy the product I first read the comments, I noticed that this is a new seller from China, looks his sales is not very good, but the customer's feedback is also good, but the price is cheaper, I will buy some products.

This is the regular price for these. I found this to be more durable than the fosmon ones which are more expensive. My fosmon ones loosened after a month and broke after a couple months.

I don't think it is HDMI 2.0 adapter. I bought other DP to HDMI cable from Amazon before and anything under $20 is only HDMI 1.4.

I prefer the dongle if I need to connect to an meeting projector. Also, sometimes you need a different length cable.

Does it carry sound from your laptop to TV speakers?
When I first got a macbook and bought a cable it didn't. But later cable models support sound apparently. So I'd like a newer cable if this one does?

I bought this one a couple years back for $2.57. Still the same price - never had an issue outputting from my XPS 13.

I tried similar adapter/cable from ebay for a T430 (DP+ port) but the screen always display no signal. Do I need to do anything special to use this?
