Bought one from my road challenged girlfriend... no more phone calls asking me for directions. Grin.

It seems that you have to install MioPocket "SD-Free" to use a SDIO WiFi. See http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/t...TOPIC_ID=97741
I hope there is a sticky post giving step-by-step instruction to use WiFi in C520/C320.
BTW, when I first tried to order a C520 at FS Tuesday morning, there were two left. Then after I called A-Power to cancle my never filled order, all were slod out at FS! Luckily, in the afternoon, there were new 100 in stock. Therefore, FS may have new stock tomorrow.

Thanks. Save another 10%, just had to call customer support! I love RFD!
PS. You can get SDIO wifi cards WITH 1 or 2 GB (maybe more now) flash memory so you don't really have to install PocketMio to main memory.
Edit: After reading the above thread I could be wrong.Last edited by tweebs; Nov 8th, 2008 at 05:47 PM. Reason: misinformation

Indeed there is: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/t...41&whichpage=1
And by the way, gpspassion makes it difficult to seach- you just have to plough through pages upon posts. This is not an easy task, especially with some of the miopocket pages. Hang in there!Last edited by magicBC; Nov 8th, 2008 at 05:57 PM.

Thanks OP.
Had a bunch of FS @home cards on hand. So, final price is about 163 including tax and shipping. It is really an amazing price for this GPS.

I'm trying to understand the Wi-Fi thing here? Are you saying that if I install the right programs and have the right card, I can browse the internet on this? What about browser? (Sorry, this is all greek to me)

This GPS unit runs on a version of the WinCE core, which is the same OS that runs windows based PDAs. The Miopocket program "unlocks" the core and basically gives you a windows type device. Since the MIO has an SDIO capable SD card slot, you can use a SD wifi card in this unit to access internet, when you are in a wifi "hotspot".
I haven't tried this out nor do I have this model of MIO gps, but that's what the forum thread discusses.
