[Best Buy] Missed the 30-pack Verbatim DL sale last week? 20-pack 2.4X Verbatim DL this week!!

This week:

Verbatim 2.4X 20-pack Dual Layer $24.99
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=25891

(Much) worst than last week's deal but still great if you want a load of these amazing quality Verbatims and forgot about asking for a raincheck!

Last week:

Yay it's finally here!

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=25891

$34.99 starting tomorrow.

No price matching opportunities at Best Buy and Staples. Don't think any other store carries this, but better deal than $19.99 for 15!
Tons of things for sale!

so are these supposed to be the one of the best dual layer dvds in terms of quality and speed? Seems pretty cheap for dual layers, almost down to a dollar a disc.

$20 for 15 pack works out to 1.33/disc

$25 for 20 pack works out to 1.25/disc

$35 for 30 pack works out to ~1.17/disc

Is dual layer is mostly used to burn games?
I don't see any any good other than that, since DVD-Rs are cheaper for burning movies.

Yes if you want to backup a 360 game you own to save the disc from getting scratched, you must use dual layer discs. Verbatim discs are the best because they hold data much longer (some DL discs only last a year!!) and they will be much easier on your 360 laser.

Just make sure you don't do anything illegal.

How do you create a back-up of your 360 game?
I have NHL 09 and it's starting to get scratched so I'd like to make a back-up but I heard you can't just burn it straight up. You need to patch it or something like that and it's quite complicated.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

DL media is still such a rip. It shouldn't cost more than 2x of a single layered disc.
