So I have a friend who is a bridesmaid for a wedding coming up (I'm not going to the wedding btw!) She asked me how I knew this other girl from the bridal party and I told her "Um - I knew her from undergrad." Flashback a few years and here's my lasting memory of her:
I'd say the girl in question was more of a close acquaintance than a close friend per say. Since there won't be any pics from me - She's asian, probably 5'7 to 5'8, with a slim figure. After a long night of studying with our group of friends, we left the library at the same time while everyone else stayed. Naturally, I offered to walk her home since it was 3am and we were walking in the middle of a blizzard. Note: She lived 15 mins away from where I lived and in the opposite direction of where I would normally walk. Now that I think of it, a cab wouldn't have been such a bad idea but we were poor students
Anyway, we get to her door and I'm eager to get back to my place to sleep cuz I was EXHAUSTED. Since it was so cold, she insisted that I come in for tea and I wouldn't be bothering anyone since her housemate was gone home for xmas. I hesitated, but thought why the hell not. She told me I was welcome to use her desktop in her room while I waited for her to make the tea. 10 mins later, she comes in, hands me my cup of tea, and sits on the bed. We joke around for a bit and reach a point of silence when I was looking at her and thefinally went on. Normally, I would've gotten the message but for some reason (fatigue?), I was completely oblivious to the situation I was in. That and from what I could tell, she's the kind of girl you would date, not for a one night stand (I guess you never know!). So I ended up walking back to the house in the blizzard thinking "DAMN! I could be cuddled up in comfy bed right now." The next day, my housemates (who stayed to study) asked me how was the walk home. I told them nothing happened and they replied with "Suuuuuureeeeeeeeee"
Edit: I'd love to hear other stories =D

I've had more than a few of these moments, where I would go back in time and take advantage of a clear opportunity that presented itself.
Unfortunately, most of these were just stupid little girls who threw themselves at me and I had too much integrity to indulge them. Now that I'm older, I'm more of a perv and I think that maybe I squandered my youth a little.

My memory was jogged when my friend asked me how I knew her.
+1 - I've made up for this before and after this incident
Yep. Except I try to learn from the past
Any other interesting stories? I can't be the only one who's dropped the ball before.

Of course I missed some. The way I look back at it, a few times a season the ball even got by Ozzie Smith. My fielding percentage was still pretty good.
