Missing T4... Identity Theft?
Hi, I'm on maternity leave and my friend who is also a co-worker is on maternity leave as well.
She recieved her T4 2 weeks ago.
I was wondering why I hadn't gotten mine,
so I called Payroll this morning...
They said it was mailed out at the same time,
and that my name was on the list of T4s that they mailed out.
It never came...
Where is my T4? and what could someone do with it if they had it instead of me?

They could steal your new baby away from you...
Kidddddding.
Likely it's still coming or possibly was lost. Have them mail you another one.

get them to e-mail you a scanned copy it will probably come eventually, It has your sin number on it and your name and address not a good thing if some baddie wants your identity

Yea, I'm going in tomorrow to pick up a copy of my T4.
I just don't like the idea of a copy of it "floating around" somewhere for 2 weeks.
We've had mail stolen before.
Once someone stole tickets to a concert we were going to in Toronto.
When we got to the show to pick up new tickets at the box office, there were people in our seats.

What if someone loses their T4, can they get another one before the end of tax season?

if you are really worried about identity theft, i suppose you could always call the credit bureau to see if you got any new loans and/or credit/store cards.
