I did that before my wedding. Ya, it is crazy how expensive beer is here.

I bought.

12 x 24 pack Corona
5 x 60 pack coors light
5 x 6 pack bud (or bud light, can't remember)
And a few randoms.
Fixed....

I know some of you obviously don't live close to Quebec, but Bud light is always one of the cheapest beers in this province. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for a 24. Ever premium beers like Corona are going for $24/24 at costco.

I live in Ottawa/Gatineau and I've never once bought beers in "the Beer store".

Funny though, buying specialty beers (single cans) are equally expensive at the LCBO and the SAQ in quebec.

Heading to Montreal in a couple of weeks - will be stocking up at Costco for the summer.

Ontario beer is a total rip off. Between trips to Buffalo and trips to Montreal I avoid it almost completely. Ottawa folk should never be buying beer in Ontario!

Since 2015 OPP are roaming Gatineau parking lots (seen them twice at Costco) with a radio to send the plate numbers to other officers on this side of the bridges who will seize your beer and fine you. 2 cases max...makes for alot of round trips. Plan your trips accordingly (i.e. 10am on a Monday instead of noon on a sunny Saturday or Friday night of a long weekend.

FWIW, I am a home brewer and beer snob. I spent well over a decade in the beer business. I have had beers from literally all over the world in all different styles and quality ranges. I brew IPA's mainly and always have something like a stout, bock, pale ale or other specialty beer in secondary. Now that said, in the summertime an icy cold Coors or Bud Light is what I suck down. Hell, I even like a Brava, ICE cold with a splash of lime in the summer. (tastes better than Corona, imho)

For those of us in Ontario, you can get 12 740ml Bud Lights in the Beer store for $40.15 which is cheaper than the $41.95 for a 24 of 355ml cans. Plus you get slightly more beer to boot.

Well, since beer is so expensive. I will just drink orange juice instead.
At least it is not regulated for $3 a litre.

Great deal. Unfortunately, I don't drink alcohol. Even if I did, I wouldn't completely debase myself and drink Bud Light. That's just wrong. It borders on savagery.
I'm pretty sure you confused bud light with moonshine.

I love the beer snobbery in this thread. I don't personally like Bud Light, but who the F cares what other people drink?

Maybe OP was in Kenero?
I'm assuming this is playing off last year's April Fool's joke... But it'd work better if OP didn't specifically say this:

Why would he need condoms on his wedding night? lol that sounds horrible.
