Bought the phone today from RCSS. Which will cost me net $50 (after deducting extra $25 from scratch and win credit, and $25 from koodo referral).
Can't complain for the cost. But surprised and disappointed, though, by the ridiculously flimsy plastic back cover on the phone. Someone who needs to pop off the cover often to switch out sim cards might want to think twice about this phone. Doesn't look like it will take much to crack that thing. Reply With Quote

Being a newbie with phones. I was wondering if anyone knows a link to easy instructions to install a custom rom ? Having looked through different threads ( im quite confused now) ive seen AOKP Milestone, Liquid Smooth, Jedi Mind Trick X3. Anyone recommend any of these?
Also, has anyone used invisible shield by Zagg by any chance?

Depending on what the author of the custom rom suggests. It takes lot of reading and trial and error and hoping you won't brick your phone if you mess up. My advice is start by simple procedue of free unlock on your S2X. All the infos are in XDA. But to give you some pointer, you would want to :
- install CWM recovery
- install Tmobile radio

Dec 29th, 2012 03:39 AM #191S2X looks better on paper, but S2-i9100 model have far better support from international community. It also have faster cpu/gpu even though its rated at 1.2ghz. Don't ask why it is cuz it just is on benchmark. S2-i9100 being more popular, it have more accessories too. Stuff that you found for S2-i9100, you won't find it for S2X. Originally Posted by aasoror

I'm running CM10 on my T989D which as far as I know is pretty much the latest and greatest stable ROM so what other kinds of support does the i9100 get that the T989D doesn't?
