Calm down guys. It is 30 days price protection and you are free to claim it. Forget Boxing day forget lining up, forget it all...nothing to do with Boxing day....$49.99 + $150 tab - $100 gift card is the Mobile shop regular price as of today.
Just came back from my local Mobile shop. Totally effortless got another $25 gift card to compensate for the price difference from what this phone was a week ago ($74.99) and what is today ($49.99).
And I'll make yet another prediction - price will go further down in the next couple weeks so for those who are still within 30 days from purchase date go ahead and claim your price protection. Reply With Quote

Just did a price protection at the steeles/dufferin location. They had to refund the old transaction and charge the new lower price. The process wasn't too much hassle but it took quite a while to get it done (around 30 minutes for 2 phones). I had already cancelled the account with koodo but had no issues doing the price protection.
