The daily deal over at MonoPrice.com is once again an HDMI cable. It's a yellow 3-ft version this time.
Here's the linky:

Yikes... 3' is pretty tight... great (I guess) if your source is right beside the destination (DVD<->Receiver, if you've forked out for an HDMI switching receiver)

On the plus side though, if you buy 50+ of these babies, they drop significantly in price, to a mere $1.82 per unit.....

You know they could be like the rest of the retail world and just say "screw you" on multi-unit orders. Nothing like staring a gift horse in the mouth.

+1, 3' is just too short in my setup, so always get the 6' length which works perfectly. Even at regular price they are a good deal anyway. yay for monoprice

No experience with monoprice. I plan to buy the HDMI cable, but I will be travelling on Oct 9. I wonder if I can receive the order before that date if I order it today.

Monoprice is great, there regular shipping takes a while, if you need it faster there's always express.

Don't know where you are located, but my previous orders from monoprice have all been delivered in 6-10 business days.

The way Monoprice's "daily specials" work is that they give you the 50+ price instead of the unit price, which is usually almost 50% off. That's why right now you see close to no discount on bulk orders - it's because they're basically using the bulk order price on any quantities.

Most HDMI cables are 1.3. It'll says in the specs if it's 1.3a certified. Of course, even if it's not 1.3a, b, b1, or c certified does not necessarily mean it won't work under those modes... Just like a receiver that is not THX certified can do THX just as well as a certified receiver.
HDMI 1.4 has 6 different types of cable and is not backwards compatible. I have yet to see a 1.4 cable on the market.

Why are "regular" cables black? Why not pink or tan or cerulean?
