A couple of weeks ago we spent several days in Montreal.
On the last day, our car was broken into and my bag was stolen, containing a Panasonic FZ1 camera, 4 Cobra 2-way radios, a USB stick, my cell phone ear-buds and some other odds and ends.
Although I'm upset about incident, I don't care about the electronics that much.
However, the SD card inside the camera had some pictures of and by the kids and the USB stick had some stuff on it that will be hard for me to recreate.
So, on the 1 in a billion chance that anyone runs across one of these items, please convince the new owner to zip the data and put it on Mediafire or some other file storage service (sending me the SD and/or USB is even better -- I'll even pay the shipping costs).
This is what the USB stick looks like (mine had a black string attached):

This is what the camera looks like:

Hoping for a miracle...
P.S.,
No need to reply just to tell me that leaving the bag visible in the car was stupid. I already figured it out :o

Cars being broken into is hardly a measure of how safe an area is. My car was broken into in Aurora like 10 years ago. Aurora. One of the safest suburbs in the GTA...
This crap can happen anywhere.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked zonetbh for this post.

This is true, but Montreal is pretty well known for car theft (contents and the car itself). Maybe not as bad as Vancouver, but bad.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked 0xffff for this post.

Sucks to hear that OP. I went to Montreal once for a few days and I can't understand the appeal of that dilapidated city.

Feel like this is turning into a bash montreal thread :)
Anyhow, anything sitting in the car in eyesight view is opportunity for thieves to break in... My cousin learned a hard lesson when he left his laptop in full sight in the parking lot while he stepped into Pharmaprix for five minutes..... Same thing when his younger brother got his car broken in for a school backpack (full of school boooks!!)Last edited by Pochacco; Apr 3rd, 2012 at 01:04 AM.

A friend of mine had his car broken into in Montreal... nothing was visible, nothing was even taken, I guess they just smashed the window to have a look around? At least it was a 20 year old beater. But it could happen anywhere really, I avoid parking on the street whenever possible.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked Manatus for this post.
