Carey Price to Edmonton for Connon Mcdavid.

Get it done MB.
Neither team would do that and that's an awful trade anyways.

I like Weiss & Fleischmann but getting Danault is a good move for the future...good trade.
not sure, we have like 6 3rd/4th line centres......can we play more than 1 at once?

Desharnais, Eller, Byron, Mitchell, McCarron, Dannault, De La Rose.

Hope your wrong pegging him as 3rd or 4th liner. McCarron is going to win 3-4 centre spot, the rest is wide open.

He's a playoff performer, but man, 4 million per for someone that gets a bit over 30 pts a season? Wow...
Hawks fan here. Yikes! That's a lot for Shaw. He really only came through in the 2013 playoffs. He also plays on such as edge that he's problem-matic and cost Chicago a few times, mostly noted during the 1st round against St. Louis. Stan wasn't going to resign him, writing was on the wall after the early exit. Hope he does well in Montreal, will miss the mut.

wish the Habs had given away Desharnais rather than trading Eller.
Yeah, I like Eller. Shame he didn't get on so well with the coach. Good luck to him in WSH.

"#Blockbuster @CanadiensMTL trade PK Subban to @PredsNHL for Shea Weber #wow @Sportsnet @NHL."
from https://twitter.com/realkyper/status/748243295504052225
Just read that, lol, wow.

The Montreal Canadiens have traded all-star defeceman P.K. Subban to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Shea Weber, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.

Subban is heading into the third season of his eight-year, $72-million contract.
The 27-year-old Subban wrapped up the 2015-16 season posting six goals and 45 assists in 68 games. In seven seasons with the Canadiens, the Toronto native has put up 63 goals and 215 assists with 532 penalty minutes.
Weber, 30, scored 20 goals and added 31 assists for 51 points over 78 games last season, his 11th in Nashville.

Guess MTL was finally tired of Subban's BS and crappy attitude.

Wow. I don't know what Montreal was thinking. Weber is the better player right now, but he's under contract until he's 40 while PK's is only until he's 33. Weber's contract is going to be a huge burden in a few years.

I think his contract will be rather easy to get rid of. It was massively front end loaded. The last 4 years see a team paying a total of 6 million while taking a cap hit of $31,428,568. If you're a cap floor team, that's a dream contract. Especially considering the guy will probably still be a good 3-5 defenseman.
