It is a great City with so many things to do and see you need to figure it out for yourself. The tripadvisor page gives the top 10 things generated by the travelers to Montreal.

Montreal Oct 10-14
Hello, my husband and I are going to Montreal via WestJet on Friday until Monday.
We have been there once before but stayed in a different area and it was a very short stay 2 nights.
This time we are staying at Marriot Chateau Champlain.
Does anyone have any advice suggestions on what to do where to eat etc..
We are doing a sightseeing tour "Get an eye full" and going to see a show at Cabaret Mado Saturday night.
Any suggestions/thoughts are appreciated.

I have been on all the site's tripadvisor, montreal tourism, etrips etc...
I thought maybe on a limb someone had a good experience with something they wouldn't mind sharing.
Thank you though.

When I visit a place, I'm all about food! So, aside from typical tourist attractions (casino, botanical garden, old montreal and the likes), you can try :
Shopping
- 10/30 (one big shopping district, I guess it's the canadian version of the outlets mall in the US)
Food
10-15$
- Swartz (famous Montreal smokemeat)
- Marven's (famous for steak and fried calamari)
- Pizzeli Coq (famous for Peruvien chicken) and it's neighboor Sol y Mar (Peruvian Seafood, wine is "cost + 5$")
- Madison's (got ribs for 10$ from 11AM-3Pm I think)
- Pho Bang (good spicy Bun Bo Hue noodle soup, only available on weekends)
- Kam Fung (Dim Sum is great there)
- La Banquise (famous for poutine!)
- Bagel St-Viateur (well... famous for bagels)
- Bilboquet (Ice cream and Sorbet)
- Juliette et Chocolat (famous for chocolate
- Antabli (good fruit mix and crepe place)
20-30$
- L'express (french bistro, lunch is cheap and good)
- Chez Levesque
- Toque!
- Milos
- Au pied de Cochon
- Queue de cheval (very good but very overpriced as well)
I'll let the others guide you for the rest, I have my own trip to plan to LA and Vegas
Good luck and have fun!

La maison kam fung is considered to be one of the BETTER chinese restaurants there. But if you're from Toronto and consume lots of chinese food here, you wouldn't find it to be so special. The only positive thing is they have large servings but price and quality wise it could not be compared to Toronto.
Also the hotel that OP is staying at is a really beautiful hotel. Hope you have a great trip =)_______________

i was in montreal in may. didn't do much site seeing, but for food, i would recommend the following
Moishes - great steak house. the only place i have ever been where they have Filet Mignon on the bone
Swartz - montreal smoked meat sandwich
L'Express - great affordable french food.
Poutine and Bagels - got to try these.
