I highly doubt the use of olive oil in my hair would give me the same results, but then again, I guess there are people that use the same soap they shower with for their face and hair as well. =/ Or I guess you can put diesel instead of the 91 in your GTR, but is that good for it? Probably not.

I forgot the name of the product, but the hairstylist said there is this product that's only $13-15 and works the same way as MoroccanOil. She also qouted me $50 for the 100ml... What a rip off.

Hey sedated,
Yesterday I was trying the apple cider vinegar rinse and it really worked !!! I heard EbonyRose say it on chat, and so I tried it out. My hair is reallyyyy smooth right now, lol. Here I tried this: http://www.apple-cider-vinegar-benef...e-product.html
I mixed 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water. Washed hair with shampoo, towel dry (damp hair), sprayed ACV+water and my hair looks really smooth+healthy.

If you want the same effect or better! Try Loreal Professional shampoo and condtioner. After a while, you don't even need the conditioner. This stuff is amazing. Makes your hair silky, soft, shiny and healthy.

Shampoo (use dime-sized amount daily)

Conditioner (use every 2nd day)

I use Dabur Amla oil for my hair. You can find it at the indian or chinese grocery stores at around $5 for a 300ml bottle. It's for people with dark hair because the oil is green, but the almond oil is supposed to be good for lighter shades.
I find that my hair actually stays in an improved state longer if I stop using it versus when I stopped using argan oil. The floral smell takes some getting used to if you're using it for a treatment but if you towel wrap the hair you won't smell it. You dont have to use very much of it and you don't need to leave it in overnight unless your hair is extra fried.
I use a couple drops if my hair is feeling dry after styling, but I don't need to leave it in before washing anymore.
Reasons people shouldn't be using regular olive oil (or any oil meant for cooking) in their hair: it can be hard to wash out because it's not refined as thin as cosmetic oils so shampoo won't get rid of it, less refined also means it doesn't permeate the hair follicle as easily so it will take longer to help your hair, trying to get the oil out of your hair may actually damage it more, and if you don't get it all out properly the residue can go rancid from the exposure to body heat and light and it will smell awful._______________

I use Morrocan Oil as well for my hair and my hair dresser sold the 100ml to me for only $35 cash! I didn't know they retail for $40 until I saw them in the mall afterwards...
Have you tried Kiehl's hair products? I use their hair pack (argen or olive) as hair mask right after I wash my hair. They work well too but I don't know how much they retail in Canada though...

oil
Moroccan oil has argan oil in it, but also contains a lot of silicones which is what makes your hair feel smoother. Some people don't like using silicone based products as they coat your hair and in time can make it look dull.
The J. Maran Argan oil is 100% argan oil. You can buy that online for cheaper, it just won't come in a dropper bottle. Garden of Wisdom sells it. I use it on my face and hair.
