most reliable / cheapest place to unlock iPhone 5?

Would anyone happen to know of the cheapest and most reliable place to unlock an iPhone 5?

For those of you who live in the GTA, would going to Pacific Mall to get an iPhone 5 unlocked be a good option? If so, would you happen to know how much I should be spending to get the unlocking job done for?

Thanks!

This. If you have the IMEI registered on your account, calling your carrier would be the cheapest way to have a permanent unlock.

Thanks for the responses guys.

So even as a Rogers cell phone customer, they won't have any problems with unlocking your phone?

If your phone is locked to rogers
And if you are rogers customer for more then 90 days
Then you can ask rogers to unlock it. And pay $50

Yep. When the unlock request comes from a third party with no affiliation with the carriers, the cost is very expensive. Bell unlocks are even more expensive. Anyone who tells you they can do it for $20 is NOT selling a real IMEI unlock.

If for some reason Rogers is being intransigent, there are credible companies out there that can do it for $90. Ahem.
As the co-founder of a business dedicated to making it easy to buy and sell used iPhones, I have fairly extensive experience navigating Craigslist/Kijiji for used iPhones, and also troubleshooting said iPhones.

When I picked up my Rogers iPhone 6 recently, I was told I would have to wait 2 years (the length of the contract) before they would unlock it.
Nope, is 90 days
F. Mobile device issues
i.A service provider that provides a locked device to the customer as part of a contract must
a.for subsidized devices: unlock the device, or give the customer the means to unlock the device, upon request, at the rate specified by the service provider, no later than 90 calendar days after the contract start date.

http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/info_sht/t14.htm

if your Rogers refuses to unlock after 90 days, then file complain to CCTS or CRTC

I used them to unlock my 4 and a few Moto G's. GSX report tells you the status of your phone ie if its unlocked, what carrier it was on originally, if its under warranty etc.
