I've been using the Leviston switches, puchased from amazon.com and shipped to my mailbox in the states
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007N72PG...45VJTQBXPRHYN&
I was a little skeptical on this switch, as when I did my research some people said it did not work with their energy saving bulbs. Once I had it installed, no issues here.
I think it might be an issue with florescent light tubes. I haven't tried, I would buy one at home depot to test first, since they have a good return policy if you have that kind of setup

I would recommend the Wattstopper WS250. They're used in washrooms of some fed buildings and I've been spec'ing these for years without complaint. Just make sure you have a neutral in the switch box. You'll need to buy them from an electrical supply house like Westburne or Nedco as the big boxes don't carry these. Compatible with all electronic ballasts, too.

I'm also looking into installing some Motion sensor... I want a good quality for the price but by searching the web on "Wattstopper WS250" found out that there like 65$/each. A bit too expensive for me, so I'll try the Leviton at 19.99$ From HD. Hopefully they last! :-S

The cheapies usually don't work with fluorescent lighting. If they do, the side effect is reduced ballast life. You get what you pay for.

I use this for my powder room

Works good for me and my wife, though it doesn't seem to sense very well vertically. My 3yr old son doesn't trigger it sometimes when he goes in unless he puts his arms up in the air, and it has turned off on him when he's on the toilet. Not sure how active he is. I haven't had that problem myself. Might install one in the basement bathroom for him. No issues after 6 months with the bulbs, haven't had to replace a CFL yet. Set it to stay on for 5 min.

I ran into this. It wasn't that it wouldn't work, but the initial draw on the circuit wasn't enough to fully trip the switch, so the CFL would not fully engage and it wouldn't light up all the way, it'd just do that flicker thing. I solved it by simply putting a regular 40W bulb beside the CFL, and the circuit draw is enough that it hasn't happened again. Alternatively, you could just put a higher powered CFL in the circuit so that it would draw enough power. I couldn't, because I limited in space in the fixture.
As for lasting, it's been in place now for 4+ years, and never had an issue.

I've installed on in the Master Bedroom Walk-in closet and one in the garage, since I'm always going there with my hands full for my recycling stuff etc...
Thinking of installing one in the laundry room, but one that will only automatically open (ON) and that I'll close when I'm done (because of the room shape).

CFLs as any fluorescent lights do not like to be frequently turned on and off so in your case it's probably not a good idea to replace regular with CFLs.

You can adjust the settings, I believe, for the Leviton to be pretty short for turn-off time if no movement is detected.

I read that they should be on for 5 min at least before shutting off.

I have a box of these motion sensing switches from a HO that changed her mind on a large reno. I'll itemize and put in BST by tomorrow-cash & carry in Whitby at 1/2 retail. New in unopened packaging.
Like calling homeowners HO's....never gets old
