I think a lot of people have purchased the Wind version of the Moto G to use on other carriers, because the Wind model is 16GB and unlocked.

As others stated, Wind doesn't have LTE so this version is weaker (unless you want SD card storage) than the existing US GSM Model sold by Wind.

Sorry but could you explain your comment to me? Does the Wind US GSM model work on more bands than new LTE version?b166er1337 wrote: ↑As others stated, Wind doesn't have LTE so this version is weaker (unless you want SD card storage) than the existing US GSM Model sold by Wind.

Starting price will be $275? If I am not mistaken....

Yep. It's launching at $220 USD or it'll probably be in the $260-280 CAD by the time it arrives here. Considering that the original Moto G is $150 at Virgin (then add $5 for an unlock off eBay), you have to decide for yourself if LTE is worth the extra $100. It's also a bit unknown right now if Android 4.4 Kit Kat allows users to save apps on the microSD or not (and you also have to add the cost of buying a microSD card).

The US GSM version works with Wind and Rogers/Bell/Telus/AT&T.dishguy1977 wrote: ↑Sorry but could you explain your comment to me? Does the Wind US GSM model work on more bands than new LTE version?

And the new LTE version doesn't? According to gsmarena the LTE version has all the same bands as the Wind version PLUS LTE. So what is the advantage of the Wind version besides being cheaper? The LTE version with the expansion slot seems to be a better phone.b166er1337 wrote: ↑The US GSM version works with Wind and Rogers/Bell/Telus/AT&T.

The Fido version will be $50 on a Standard plan and $0 on a Smart plan; while the Rogers Moto G LTE will retail for $0 on a 2-year plan. If you’re looking to purchase this off contract it’ll be $224.95 on Rogers and $225 on Fido.

Why not buy it off contract via Rogers? I'm pretty sure both phones are the same and unlocking shouldn't cost much. I have the original Moto G and unlocked it for $5 via RFD thanks to infamouskid but you can do it for cheap. If I knew this version was coming in 6 months I would've waited.
