Try the Sony Network Walkman A3000
It's 20GB and a great MP3
You will be impressed with its neat organic LED display
Also it has an equalizer with several presets
Also has very good battery life (20-25 hrs), It's true I have one

Which mp3 player has the best sound?
Ipod has ****** quality about half the volume of a cd in my car and theres no bass...is there such thing as an mp3 player with sound quality equal to a cd?
so what is there out there that can offer this, battery life and possible video?

iPod + Line-Out will give you the best sound out of almost any portable out there. Although it will require a headphone amp if you are using it with headphones.

Hehe, you should see what hardcore head-philes consider their "portable" system...Its troublesome to carry an headphone amp with your already heavy enough 'pod
Portable CD Player via Optical Out -> DAC -> Amp -> Headphones

How about a notebook + external soundcard + stereo amp + portable power generator in a shopping cart?

depends what ipod u have but the current one has great sound quality when the eq is set off.... it sounds like u care more about bass than the actually sound quality, if thats the case any cowon iaudio mp3 player would be a good choice. very good sound quality and a lot of bass

I know you're being facetious, but a notebook is not an mp3 player (as in a standalone device).
