I bought one for a relative, and have had no problems at all.
Looks like 3 bikes are the door-crashers, and other bikes for around half price.

$99 an electric bike **Fri Province ad**
Saw this ad in the Province today. Electric bikes for $99. Phone them today, they say sale starts boxing day and last all week.

There are only 3 for $99. They are lease returns. The rest of the inventory is $450 and up.
Models in the sale are: Euro, Tornado, Hemisphere
If your not the 1st 3 people in the line...your screwed.

Actually, I was pretty skeptical about that too, thought it was a misprint and was missing a zero after the $99. So I called them up to see if the ad was correct. Some dude working there said that the price was correct and that there were several bikes at that price. He wouldn't tell me the exact number but
told me to come early on boxing day. I might show up to check it out anyways!

Looks pretty good
considering retail prices on these things are up to $1499, seems like some pretty good deals. beyond the doorcrasher $99 off-lease units, all brand-new 2005 and 2006 units on at deep discounts. lots of 2005 units half price at $649, and 2006 units reg. $1399 on for $999.

Off lease or not...That's still a substantial saving on those bikes. I don't know of any other bike place selling their bikes at half price, let alone at $99. Its like a car dealer selling a $30,000 dollar car for $2000 bux. Crazy!
